A Hansa-Brandenburg W-29 Arrives
Up till now, I have avoided the new, plastic, Wings Of The Great War line as pictures of its early "hand painted" models revealed very sloppy work and poor quality, generally. I just made an exception, however, and bought the unusual subject Hansa-Brandenburg float plane fighter which just arrived. ...

I use Pete's Collectibles, The Flying Mule and Aikens Airplanes ---all offer good service. I'm sure there are more.

Thanks, AF. Nope, so far, this is the only one I've bought. I may buy another--- but I'm not sure, as yet.

I picked up the Cararama Hansa-Brandenburg just for kicks, AF, and redid this mostly black model in a more appealing---to me---scheme. Here's a picture:

A Renault FT-17 Tank From John Jenkins Designs Arrives
I just picked up a 1:30th scale rendition of the WW1 French Renault FT-17 tank by John Jenkins Designs. Except for the overly dark colors, this is a nice replica, with an attempt at chipping to make it look more realistic. Here's a picture: http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75/Epapazian/P1011188_...

So my Magister just arrived----rather fast, I must say. It's not bad, except for the landing gear which won't stay put. Here are some Pics: First, a frontal shot:

Re: A Yak-6 Arrives
It's OK, as is, AF. A nice little addition to my burgeoning second collection---the 1:87-1:120 scale horde which I am amassing. My first scale, as is yours, is 1:72nd and I have two others---the 1:48s and 1:144s---both growing more slowly, I'm sorry to say.

A Yak-6 Arrives
Yep, it's another one from the DeAgostini series and it's right up AF's alley. The Yak-6 was a WW2 Soviet light transport and, with some mods, a light bomber. The plane was often used to re-supply Soviet partisans behind the German lines. Here's a picture of this nifty 1:100th scale model: http://i6...

The upper wing measures 5 inches----which make the Ansaldo a 1:72nd scale model.

First picture Of Hachette's Spitfire IX
As I have previously noted, the Hachette Japan series is expanding to include U.S., British and German warbirds. The single engine fighters ----like the Spitfire IX, P-51D, P-47, F4F, F4U, FW-190, BF-109, etc. will be in the 1:87th scale while larger planes, such as the Stuka or BF-110, will, no dou...
