Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet

We need to get you a showcase! My suggestion… Craigslist. If you don't know how to use it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEeqgWU-BGM

Ive been able to get a ton of cases on behalf of the museum, and some for myself too. Usually very cheap considering. Hate to see all those models get dusty!

Only interested in the 1/144th stuff, hence the B-24D. Nice. Wish they weren't so expensive though. Im hoping they continue to pump out more and more versions and use the 24 mold. Still hoping for these: http://www.skylighters.org/photos/poweek/b24moby.jpg http://www.90thbombgroup.org/betsy.jpg http...

Dauntless, That decal sheet are the different schemes some of the B-17s flew in while making the movie "Memphis Belle" David Tallichet's B-17 as well as Sally B both played Memphis Belle at one point or another during filming. The B-17 is one from The Cafe Reo Big Bird Vol. 3 set.
http://www.hlj.com/product/caf96003/Gsh

I repainted it, weathered it, and applied aftermarket decals from MYK Decals
http://www.myk-design.com/tank/144/144b17f.html

Waaaaay, waaaaay better than the Crown / Minicraft B-17 by far.

Re: 1/72nd P-36A Hawk

Nice build, WK. I hope that one of the diecast manufacturers----perhaps Corgi-----does a P-36/Hawk series in this scale soon. There are many schemes for many countries that can be exploited---with careful tooling design and planning. Thanks Epap! Why wait? Build one of these suckers! You don't need...

What needs to be done with this prototype is that it needs to become the master for a new production line of B/C's for all of us! Why should one lucky (wealthy) person have all the fun?

I saw these. Wish there were some US related 1/18th scale decals on there. And yeah those are kind of expensive.

I have some 1/144th scale decals from him but haven't used them yet.

yeah a british version, odd choice. There were glass nosed a-26's used in wwii i think. the Nell with green surrender crosses is interesting. I've seen Betty's with those but never a Nell. I scanned these from the museum's collection. They apparently surrendered on Moratai. http://i190.photobucket....

Re: Swamp Turkey

That's two of the F-Toys P-40E's that came out fairly recently. The one with 1941 stars on it was originally one of the Aleutian Tiger P-40's. Just repurposed it with different stars, and painted the nose OD.

That's a F-Toys -4 Corsair in the beginning stages of being upgraded to a -5.

Neither... Trumpeter 1:350th scale. ;)

That's one aircraft that's pretty rare in 1/144th scale. Theres of course the Minicraft / Crown kit. But the really good (and expensive example) is the rare Bandai example.

Hey Dauntless, thats my B-25. Would you believe it that, that's a Minicraft B-25? I backdated it a C/D. Lots of scratchbuilt stuff on that one -Palm Trees -Engine Hoist Crane -Scaffolding -Parrots -Tent The L3 Cub was a paper cutout from Fiddlers Green. The 1.5 Ton truck is obviously a 21st Century....
