Re: Live Auction So how Was It Guys ?

Yeah, that was pretty fun. The only grey area I saw was in the machi auction where we had two guys bidding on the same lot, but in two different ways. It sounds like they worked it out so they both came out winning but yeah, maybe the rules should've been more clear in that instance. Also there seem...

Re: merit Announcment

So let me get this straight. So far we know:

It's not a present day jet.
It's a single seater (?).
it's twin engined.

Correct?

Re: No8 Models - Any demand for modern day jet ordinance/wea

Thanks Wolf for sending the drawings. Hey, so guys. One important question, how are these various weapons attached to the existing jets? I have the Bbi Pavehawk, and the external tanks are attached with two round pins (one larger in diameter than the other) with a "wall" bridging the pins. Is this t...

Re: No 8 Models: German Bomb Dolly

Sorry for the delay fellas. Just ordered the first test piece, with the added SC250 Bomb. Should be here in 3 weeks. The image below is a rendering, using the exact same CAD model that is being used for the test piece.

No8 Models - Any demand for modern day jet ordinance/weapons

Hey fellas. Just putting some feelers out there. How many guys would be interested in some missiles and bombs for the modern 1/18th range. I have no clue as to how they are attached on the models so will need some dimensions regarding attachment points. Also, whats weapons would you guys want? Could...

Re: Merit 1:18th Dauntless Kit Announcement.

I'm hoping it will go well. I was holding out on the pre-builts to get this one (same as the f-14 which never happened). It may appeal to modelers in that it may not have the stigma of the "pre-built toys". I guess only time will tell.
Will also be interesting to see the price difference.

Re: Corsair replacement wheels. Available now.

Hey Kroll, yeah the factory wheels on my Bunker Hill Corsair have screws which I just undid with a small Phillips screwdriver (+). If you scroll back to one of my previous photos (the ones of the finished/painted wheels) you'll see the factory screw in place. Sounds like 21st replaced screws with pu...

Re: No 8 Models: German Bomb Dolly

o Rotating wheels would be nice, but not the end if they don't. Yes, the wheels will be free to rotate. o When you say the arm jack would be fixed, you mean a single position for the bomb? If so, that's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it could be positioned in lowered or raised position, l...

Re: Corsair replacement wheels. Available now.

:( Sorry to hear that kroll. Still not sure how that error made it through the printabilty checks. I did upload the revised set as soon as I received Shapeways email, but I guess it's easier for them to just clear the order. Feel free to PM me if you have any further problems. Also, thanks to those ...

Re: No 8 Models: German Bomb Dolly

Yes. Even though my first Sprue layout didn't include the SC250 Bomb (as shown in the link) http://www.shapeways.com/model/984389/bomb-dolly-assembly.html?li=productBox-search , the final version will include it. Just have to add a few more details. Would be easy enough to even have two versions for...

Hey all. Just received an email from shapeways saying the wheels couldn't be printed for a customer. A bit strange as the suspect parts are ones which I ordered without any problem. Non the less, You should've received a refund from Shapeways. I've updated the kit with extra material in the specifie...

No 8 Models: German Bomb Dolly. Time for Mk2

Hey fellas. Next release from my Shapeways store will be a Bomb Dolly for use with the 1/18th Stuka's, 190's and 109's. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t3/nadodesign/BombDolly.jpg Need some feedback on a few things. Do you want the wheels to rotate? I'm probably going to make the arm jack fixed. ...

Painted up and ready to roll. One thing these pictures don't show are the center caps.....which brings up an issue. For the guys thinking of getting these. Re: Corsair replacement wheels. Printed parts have arrived.

Thanks RD. I shot a few coats of primer on last night. Will be doing some Nato Black and Alluminium painting tonight. In the process, I reamed out the holes for the strut and screw plug. Now I have a better idea of the hole size tolerences. Will post final pics this weekend, so looks like these will...
