Re: The 1/18 Welly diecast Jeep Willys is out and looks grea

The Autoart is by far a better detailed 1:18 diecast, but the Welly is available now at a very reasonable price, it will allow folks who don't have one to get it and for guys who customize not to search ebay for a 1:18 that does'nt cost a arm and a leg, I'm glad to see someone offer a jeep in 1:18 :D

Re: Dragon announces 1/6 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.C DAK

You never know until you look at what might go with the DAK PzII. I have had a 21C DAK infantryman on my top shelf of unopened figs for years and just opened it. The jacket is a little light for me but the fig is not bad at all and it has a field cap made out of plastic but it looks great. I'll pain...

Re: Any Interest in a Swap Meet?

I'm about a four hr drive to you, so for me its no sweat, this sounds like it can be a go, rain or shine. If you set the bar low enough, then I can't see where it could fail, on the down fall of things to do, to we really want our wifes or girlfriends seeing what were spending our money on  :...

Re: Any Interest in a Swap Meet?

Maybe this needs to be made into a sticky, I would be interested, maybe if only a chance to meet fellow members, but the chance to set up inside next to a B-25, hell. I'll pay for a empty table :D If this can be done, we need enough time for anyone who could attend has enough time to prepare, I like...

Re: Any Interest in a Swap Meet?

This sounds like a great idea, even if it isn't a swap meet, it would be great to bring some stuff to show to other people, I know alot of guys have some really cool customs that pictures don't do justice to. Not only that, it would be neat to see that B-25 and just visit with guys that enjoy the ho...

Re: Sdkfz 247 !!!

If you decide to make this then I will commit for one, I screwed up and did'nt get the 222. Not to side track or anything, are you still on for the Hanomag doors?, I know the Horten full builds have been overwhelming and I'm sure you need a break from a full build project, just wondering if you will...

Re: Corsair breakdown suggestions

Just read this thread again, noticed the deleted threads and what some had seen as maybe being out of order about a avatar, I know this person and I know what was posted was totally in jest, mostly to make the subject for what they were. This is a WWII collecting site and sometimes the subject does ...

Re: what was the first

The JU-87B Stuka, Desert version was my very first piece, a neighbor had got a 109 from a friend and after I had seen that, I knew I had to have one.

So thats how my collecting started, I have made a vow that the Stuka will be the last to go, if I ever sell my collection.

Well since I got in late on the game and you could call me a scale wh**e, because I get whatever catches my eye, I have'nt lost interest yet, but I have other things that keep me busy, so it balances out, as others have said, it nice to just go and look at my collection, makes me forget how my day m...

Re: 1/18 Jeep

I would have to agree on the growth of 1/16, I'm sure its just a matter of time before HL or Mato puts out a RC jeep in that scale, but I guess what I was thinking, its hard to find a affordable 1/18 scale jeep anymore. Seems most of the die-cast manufacturers are set up for 1/18, which I don't know...
