Re: Who would want a 1/16 He-219? (pics fixed)

A month or so ago there was a post on here with the title a "nice model". It showed an eBay listing of a 1/16th he-219 owl that someone had built and was selling for pickup only out of Canton Ohio. I purchased it and then slowly talked the seller who had no idea what they had into shipping it to me....

Re: How many of you can/will build a 1/18 resin model?

i can and will I used to build model ships and airplanes with the old man it would be nice to do something bigger. In fact Jnewboy if you could do an F-4 phantom kit It would be a great one for me and my old man to build together Anything is possible however Mathew also has to agree to produce it. ...

Re: Jnewboy Customs and Pickelhaube Customs

Well this is great news Jon! Teaming up with Matthew on this project and others to come will be a big boost to 1:18. I'm looking forward to this Lippisch P13a. http://pre10.deviantart.net/95ef/th/pre/i/2016/128/1/1/lippisch_p_13a_by_foofighter7-da1r85w.jpg Maybe we will be so succsesful we can get ...

How many of you can/will build a 1/18 resin model?

I worry that this scale is dying off and as much as I would like to I dont have time to make full builds and if I start doing them in the future they will be much much more expensive as my time is so limited now. I am excited that I have an incredible partner now and will be offering these kits but ...

Jnewboy Customs and Pickelhaube Customs

This past 2 years have been hard, not only because of work but because a lack of time to do anything else but work, including modeling. I have though continued to work with HydroSpan and after around $3k in supplies used in trial and error I have perfected my technique. Right now I have the bottom o...

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a New Update with Pictures!

It has been a very challenging year for me in almost every since of the word. Those of you who are waiting for the Lippish make no mistake it will be done but my real world job has taken every moment away from me. It will not be like this forever though, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Don’...

Re: Jnewboy Customs New Update 9/17/16

http://www.internetmodeler.com/1999/october/first-looks/hasegawa_a6m2-rufe_sprue4.jpg I used Tamiya's 1/48 Rufe, cast the floats, poured the hydrospan, 60% increase, cast that, 2nd pour of hydrospan, another 60% increase. Now its at 1/18 I'll try to get some time to pour resin into the new mold and...

Re: Jnewboy Customs New Update 9/17/16

Both sides need to be hollowed out and when fit is perfect recast for the final casting. Ill do the side pylons as one solid piece.

The side pylons and the main pylon will look great!

Re: selling off the last of my collection

People should not lose hope, maybe in Merit but not all hope. 1/18 armor has a rough road as 1/16 is so much more common and is RC which allows people to interact with eachother and their hobby. 1/18 Aircraft are awesome! A bit large for 4 engine aircraft but the bulk of aircraft are amazing in 1/18...

A Zero for Fathers Day

A week ago I stopped all other projects and pulled out an old Green BBi Zero and went to work on it for my dad to give him for fathers day. It is actually very easy, first paint a grey net like camo over the top then go back over it with Tamiya IJN dark green on the spots so it appears that the Gree...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?

Its not as hard as you may think, I have the Skyworks kit, its really good and can be cast and poured much cheaper than a 3d model, you dont need a new tail, just take a razor saw and slice off the extension part in the D9 tail. The prop and the glass are all thats left. The glass can be done by vac...

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a New Update with Pictures!

Ok, this project is taking longer than expected but I am learning allot along the way about what to do and what not to do with Hydrospan. The main body is huge and it seems that the larger the item the longer it takes in the tank exponentially! It was growing at a 1/4 inch a week at the end! It fina...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?

If I look at my Skyworks FW190-Kit I´m sure this is a custom built model without SW-parts. The SW-kit is much more detailed. I just looked at mine and you are right!! The skyworks kit is very good, so good it gives credibility to the theory that Jack was using a 3d printer, which is fine, but he al...
