Weathered GI

Hey guys.Just hoping to get some feedback here.I decided to do a little custom work on a 1:18 BBI fig. I did several washes over the original hair to darken it up,and used a #2 brush to try to get the look of the beard correct. I used to paint a lot of 1:32 figures and just started getting into 1:18...

I love the new releases. My only complaint is with the Otto Wilndorff figure. He actually has his mouth open, but they just wiped flesh colors over it so you can hardly tell. The hardened "snarl" that the S1 figure had really added character.Guess it's time to break out the brushes. :?

Parking the Sherman on an Abrams is OK...it's when I park it on my troops that I really run into trouble.

A question for Plane/jet/heli collectors.

I have always been more of an infantry and ground vehicle nut.I have a ton of respect and love for the war in the sky,but never had much desire to collect or paint them.I was just wondering what you guys do with the stuff you collect.Do you keep the planes mostly boxed,or do you display them.I had a...

Great to hear.I wish I had more time to investigate this stuff. The local morning radio station crew in my area refers to their listening audience as the THROBBING BRAIN.It means that they are standing by ready to answer any question when called upon. You guys are my throbbing brain, and that is why I ...

1:18 german heavy MG?

Were any of the 1:18 german figures released with an MG42 or MG34? Such a vital part of the German arsenal, but I can't seem to find any in 1:18.

Nothing 21C at TRU today.I grabbed a bunch of BBI figs.I'm pretty sure that I am the only one buying them so I think that Rowsdower is right.I could go back in a month and find that lone paratrooper that I left behind.

I decided to make the trip to TRU and it payed off. They had both of the figures you mentioned digger(for $4.99).I also picked up 2 of the new WWWII paratrooper figures(which are awesome). They also had both modern figures from that set.I noticed that BBI's website lists some of the WWII figures twice...

21C vs. BBI vs.Dragon 1/18figs?

Hello all.I was hoping I could get some opinions/information on these different figures.21C seem to be the easiest to find in local retail stores in my area so I started grabbin those.I see that BBI and Dragon(maybe some others) also have WWII 1/18.I was wondering how similar the figures are from on...

WOW!! I can't believe these figures have been out there for so long and I finally found them.I used to paint 1:32 but had to give it up because they were so time consuming and costly. Now I discover these figs on a trip to Walmart for a Barbie doll.I have been able to track down 6 different figures f...
