WOW! NICE!! Even if the folks with lots of 'stangs pass, it has a real good chance to bring in new folks. I like it.

Re: Was there ever a mold for the b-25 from 21st?
Not to keep beating a dead horse, but what would the dimensions of a 1:18 B-25 be, I remember when they started advsrtising this, I kept thinking how would I hide that from the wife  If built it sure would have been the focus point of alot of collections 8) http://www.aikensairplanes.com/21st%...

Re: um....was this the true colour of Zero's?
Agreed, these will always be debated, that's why I like this kinda stuff. Here's a page with some artifacts and translations into english. On this page they state early zeros. http://modelingmadness.com/earlya6mcolors.htm Of course colors never survive reproduction and it's even worse taking into ac...

Re: um....was this the true colour of Zero's?
For quite awhile, starting early in WWII, there were reports of yellow or golden zeros. Remember the '50's Aurora Zero molded in "authentic yellow"? Over time no one believed that those reports had any basis in fact and the colour slowly became light gray in popular wisdom. Of course yellow and gold...

The Japanese used organic resins to protect the metal rather then as a camouflage. The great folks at j-aircraft have more at http://www.j-aircraft.com/research/amer ... ameiro.htm. It's also a great site for modelers as well as researchers.

Re: Skyworks....important information
I'll just say that I think it is wrong to post someones place of employment and address on a public board with the intent to bring "harm" to them. FWIW I don't believe this was done to bring "harm". I believe it was done to provide the info needed to pass on to the LE folks to start legal action, i...

Re: skyworks web site
Not only was it advertised as made by Skyworks, I bought it from him and he sent it to me. Yeah, it was on ebay, the bids went as high (no problem there, I've bid more on other stuff) as they did since he was using it as an example of the work he was well known for and proud of. He even included sho...

P.S.
Patrick from Airstrike mentioned to me that he was receiving alotta grief and threats from another "unnamed" customizer just before he went offline. With any luck that "unnamed" customizer was Slyworks and he might come back.

Re: skyworks web site
These are the only remaining photos of the $700 custom I'd received from Skyworks. The photos don't do it justice, it was much worse. I'd sent this to one of the members of the board looking for a basket case to work on. If you're here, where you able to do anything with it? I'm unable to reconcile ...

Re: SkyWorksToys Special Announcement
Obviously the A-10 and whatever else skyworks had in the works like the Typhoon is all gone. As PH mentioned all products off the MTS website. Not a good sign and more 1/18 disappointments. I suppose this means that AllGo/21c has lost their prototype for the A-10. I'm not sure how much would be lef...

Re: SkyWorksToys Special Announcement
After my experience with the P-51 custom he sent me (great rep + great photos = POC) he'd been off my list for some time now. It didn't help that MTS learned from his success and followed with their own PWP line that I also bought into *once*.

I just received their 1/48 Hawker Fury, quite nice, though I'm not sure about the difference in the wing incidence from the upper and lower wing. Still I'll snag the Portuguese repaint when it's released.

Not certain, but I think the one without seats is the same as the one in your first link. The swimmers lay down just inside and roll over the side to disembark.

Re: Are there 2 different Power Team patrol boats?
Most of the parts are the same, but each has it's own also. The mounting holes for the most of the same parts are in different locations on the hull. This photo shows better then I can explain. Pardon the dust.

Re: Are there 2 different Power Team patrol boats?
I just took a look at mine, they're different. If you want both you'll need to get one of each. You can't get two of the same and built both from it.

Re: More 1/72 Ebay items
Hope no one here minds my posting this here. So far selling has been successful, everything has sold, and word of the weird and wacky aircraft I'm listing seems to have gotten around. Less then one day into the latest, I've several bids in the twenties and thirties with *lots* of folks watching. The...

Re: My Recent 1/48 Aircraft Completed
Thanks Epap, The Ki-9 is painted in post WWII Indonesian markings, between when they just painted the lower half of the Japanese roundel white (used on aircraft left abandoned after the war) and the currant pentagon. I've a Tamiya "Pete" lined up for the first and am still looking for a Classic Airf...
