Re: Salvage Yard

I am looking for a canopy for the 21C 1/18 F104 Starfighter.

I also have parts from the 21C Avenger and Stuka if you are looking for anything

Re: Hasagawa 1/72 B-47

Thanks, T-Man. It is a nice kit. The painting takes the most time and effort. Here is a KC-135 I built around the same time, when I was in my "Silver plane" rut....

Re: Monogram 1/48 Hellcat

Thanks CNQ. It is the old Monogram kit from the late 70's. I have built them about four times!

Re: Hasagawa 1/72 B-47

Thanks! How do you post photos here? I had a Photobucket account but they want $300 a year to maintain my account, so I am letting it die....

Posting photos

I have been out of action for a while. When I came back, I found all my past photos were killed off by Photobucket.

Is there a alternative to photo bucket? What have you guys been using?

Re: Lots of new members! June 2017...

I belonged to a small forum mainly centered around diecast aircraft collecting. I was pretty active there until a few months ago when I became ill with kidney issues. It was a fairly active board as were about 15 other people, but they had a large membership. While I was out of action, the board see...

Re: WW1 Limber Sets from Atlas

I finished painting the cannon. I did this one in the French Army scheme to match the limber and cassion. I also finished painting the horses. I need to start fabricating the harnesses and assorted parts that will eventually tie the horses to the equipment... http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk119...

Re: WW1 British "Tadpole" tank...1/32

You are right! He wrote back the next day and let me know how he liked the photos. He also included the plans for turning a Tadpole into a regular MkIV, something I had been planning on doing. A really nice guy who loves discussing tanks and soldiers. I finished painting my Weston German A7V yesterd...

K, I looked up the Weston Toy company after I read your post and found his site with the email address. I did sent him the pics at your suggestion. Thanks for the idea.

His business seems to be thriving over there in Britain. Nice to see.

Re: WW1 British "Tadpole" tank...1/32

Thanks guys. Yes definitely a toy! It was a good model to try and upgrade with some simple painting. The A7V is a bit more intricate, especially in the road wheel and tracks area. I am still researching that paint job! Oh and Weston Toys is still alive and kicking. They still produce both tanks! Her...

WW1 British "Tadpole" tank...1/32

This is a WW1 British "Tadpole" tank made by Weston Toy Company back in 2007. The model came fully assembled in a basic green color. I cleaned up some flash, drilled out the mortar and did a paint and weathering job on the tank. It is 1/32 scale and originally intended to go with toy soldier playset...

Re: 1/144 B-24D UPDATE

Nice work! I like subtle weathering job. The shot with the vehicles is pretty impressive. It gives a nice perspective of the size of the plane.

You made your own decals?
