Re: BBI F-16

This sounds like a material issue and sorry to say there is nothing that can be done. The softer the plastic, the more the chemical composition is prone to becoming unstable over time. If the plastic is painted, the chemicals in the plastic are reacting with the chemicals in the paint, causing even ...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter

Looks like the all grey soldier (German) was added, but not the tan (Japanese) or any other solid colors, unless I'm missing something.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter

I think I'm one of the few, but I'm hoping Marauder decided to include the solid color figures.

I would ask, how many Matthew Mcconaughey and Steve Zahn figures do we NEED. And if there is not a 1/18 Lincoln Continental available, that takes away from a lot of the display possibilities.

Just completed the Russians, that worked out very well. I suspect some increased their bids at the last minute just to complete that team.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter

It's pretty much exactly what it says on the tin- the money collected during this Kickstarter is to fund the toolings for the upcoming line of figures. ... Also, John has stated that he intends to try to make the solid color figures available in some form or another.... In short, they pre-sell you ...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter

Those figures are quite a leap ahead of what was previously offered from 21st Century and the like. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. They will likely have the effect of making all the other figures look really bad. I couldn't see having their Japanese examples next to the really ...

Re: (1/18 )G.T Toy Parallel War ,german great war figure

WWI figures are what I've hoped for many years and thought would never see. Almost unlimited possibilities, nothing ever in 1:18 and many never before produced in any scale. Very encouraging news!

A new stretch goal before the 'Green Soldier' has been added - USMC in late war camo. Will have to consider bumping up my pledge.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter

I'm checking Kickstarter every day to see if the campaign has started. I was really tempted to get into that Old West / Cowboy series, but if the WWII levels are as inclusive as the sculpts are looking, I''m glad I waited.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter

First unexpected 1:18 I've seen in a long time. (on another forum someone stated 'these are the first Japanese 1:18 WW2 figures" - then the reply was a photo of a carded 21st - has it really been so long that these are now forgotten?)

Possible WWII books and autographs opportunity

Somehow my email is on the list for government auction sites. Federal, state, city, I don't know how they have my address but I get mail from all over the country. Never much of interest. But today I received a listing from Los Angeles County that has dozens, maybe close to a hundred, WWII-subject b...

Re: Crazy prices

Having recently dealt with an estate dealer/re-seller, and from what I hear about the business in general, I'd suspect anything they sell to be highly inflated. Or maybe there ARE people out there willing to spend those prices. WAY out of my price range.

Didn't someone at the time track down his home address and try to confront him in person? Or was that 'Audie Murphy' that was tracked down? Or were those two, the same guys? All I remember is a lot of the trouble makers seemed to surface, cause months of problems, and disappear, at about the same ti...
