SABREFAN: Thanks for the help. As a kid, I had 1/48 models of the Hellcat (Monogram, Aurora) and thought the Hellcat was a handsome plane, but not as sleek as the P-51. So the Hellcat isn't a "must-have" like the F-4 and P-51. I hope BBI F-4 repaints and 1/32 F-15, F-22 aren't too far away--they wou...

Do you like the Cat Mouth more than your F-4J?
If so, why?

(My favorite plane is the F-4. Second is the P-51).

TOYKTDLGH: Thanks for the info--it helps me a lot. I'm definitely going to get the BBI F-4J, but I'm about 50/50 on the Cat Mouth. I had a bad experience with the 21st Century Big Beautiful Doll P-51--I bought 4 at Wal-Mart and all 4 had serious flaws. I kept #4 because I fixed it myself and because...

TEAMSKI: In terms of being realistic, I meant they used real Shermans and Tigers (modified T-34s). I cringe everytime I watch PATTON and see M-48 Patton tanks with a German cross painted on them. Someone posted that FOV/Target will re-introduce the Tiger in the spring.
If so, will it be the same current Tiger or a "new-and-improved" Tiger?

(If the new Tiger looks like the photo on my FOV Abrams box, I'll buy one).

TOYKTDGLH: Thanks again for the info. Two last questions: 1. Does your Cat Mouth's wings stay rigid in the extended position or do they flop and "shake, rattle and roll"? 2. Does the Cat Mouth appear to be a solid, sturdy plane when you hold it up? (The Cat Mouth's owner comments I posted earlier fr...

Since BBI's 1/32 F-4J appears to be a success, I wonder how long before BBI beats 21st Century and Admiral to the punch by introducing a 1/32 F-4D or F-4E.

That ticks me off that I paid $30 full price for the FOV Abrams-desert after Thanksgiving. Since the FOV 1/18 vehicles were new, I didn't think they would be "clearance" for some time. However, last week I was at the same Target I bought my Abrams and looked at the new ones---all of the Abrams-deser...

TOYKDTLGH: Thanks for the photos and review. The Cat Mouth looks great, but I might pass on Cat Mouth---reviews of the Vraciu Hellcat have me worried about the possibility of breakages in the landing gear and folding wings and problems assembling them. I'm holding off on buying the Catmouth F6F because I'm concerned about the Catmouth's possible folding wing/landing gear and broken antenna problems that were mentioned with its predecessor, the Vraciu Hellcat.
I assume the Catmouth is just a repaint of the Vraciu F6F.

Hopefully, BBI will fill the void of delayed 1/18 USAF F-4s from 21st Century and Admiral by releasing 1/32 USAF Vietnam F-4s---I really want a 1/32 Steve Ritchie F-4D and an F-4E with a Tigershark nose.
