how about a Bren carrier for the brits? then if that sells how about that big Brit tank that was the only Allied tank that could go toe to toe with the German monsters. i can't think of it's name I believe the Churchill? That's just too ugly to sell. I would LOVE to see a Centurion tank, I built a ...

Re: m48

OK, that auction and some people here have been saying that there is metal in the tank - do we know this for sure or are we just guessing due to the weight. I can tell you right now that the original M48 was heavy as hell, and in the box easily could have been 6 pounds (as the one in this auction s...

Model Variety is the spice of life to a normal collector, I would think 10-12 D model Mustangs is a bit overkill however. Is that number including the S1 releases?

I see 109G-6/ Ridgerunners now in WM with tons of dust on them.

A few schemes, and then on to the next plane / vehicles etc...

BBI is making the Hellcat, they have showed it a couple of times. Just no idea when it is coming, though it could be soon. I assume the folding wings are the hold up as I'm sure they're a pain (21st could likely attest). Maybe after the Avenger comes out bbi can get a first hand look at how to get ...

For tmanthegreat, the That certainly is the M-48 in a current box! Is the tank diecast? Also, is it just me, or the picture, but the green on the new tank looks a shade lighter than my origional TRU M-48. I'm not going to hurry after this one, but its good to see it re-released in the OD paint and ...

ANYONE - I am willing to trade a M2 Bradley or other items for a M48 Patton Tank - please email me: wave17019@fuse.net I only saw one on the shelf. On that note I just picked up the M48 Patton re issue, it feels a lot heavier and I believe the hull is metal. I haven't taken it out yet but the paint on metal has a different look than on plastic. It would be so nice if every walmart carried everything and had a regular stocking day ala the dvd an...

I've been hiting every walmart in town just to see if the vehicles mentioned in another topic were showing up. I have 4 on preorder, I don't know what I would do if I walked in a saw one.

Well the fatal flaw has to be the wing folding mechanism. I don't suppose the license included the reproduction of the real hinge in miniature. Everything else should be a standard production procedure. I just had a braim storm, the hold up is the little alien figures! The US goverment is waiting fo...

I can't imagine the problem isn't solvable but like any manufacturing process, there can be pitfalls even experienced product designers and engineers can't forsee in pre-production. What many people don't realize is that quality control usually has the last say in these kinds of assembly-line produ...

Everybody on here says the BBi armor stuff is less detailed than the 21C except for the BBi Sherman.

I'm no expert on mold dynamics, but I would wager armor molds are more complex and detailed which adds to all around cost.

problably why BBI armor is less detailed than earlier 21c stuff.

I'm surprised that 21C hasn't worked a deal with trumpter to make armor molds in 1/18.

21st Century Toys makes tanks/trucks and planes, why make a boat? It just doesnt make sense to me, it doesnt fit with tanks and planes. Deveating is a dangerous thing that can be very costly, I dont think 21st Century Toys is willing to do that. uhmm 21C currently makes military planes and tanks th...

The torque and leverage being put on the hinge will certainly over-stress a simple plastic hinge after some number of cycles, especially because the movement has multiple lines of force, which until someone is accustomed to it, means they'll probably at least weaken it the first few times. The engi...

Re: don't be offended

I'm Happy to see any new announcements and releases from 21C. TKO and 21C should not be disappointed if the reaction to new announments is mixed. It has been about three years since the announcment of the Avenger and we are still waiting. We have also heard about the new F-86 and Mig-15 but with no...

Great to hear that there are major things on the horizon from most all the makers. I don't think any of you need to worry too much about our loyalty.
