Re: JJ Designs 1/30 Knights of the Sky Fokker Triplane Revie

You might want to check out the SIerra Toy Soldier site again. Coming out in February is the next plane, a Nieuport 17 flown by Canadian ace Billy Bishop. There is also a ground crew for the triplane. I've talked to John Jenkins and he hasn't decided yet about making pilots to sit in the planes. He ...

John Jenkins is coming out with a new series called 'Knights of the Skies'. The first aircraft will be the Sopwith Camel used by Capt. Roy Brown. Don't know yet what it will be made of. The price is high at $188 but Jenkins products are pretty high quality. You can check it out at: http://www.sierra...

Bachmann makes steam engines and rolling stock in 1:20.3. Their website is www.bachmanntrains.com. You can usually get their products a lot cheaper than the MSRP.

If that wasn't the Tony I saw, I better seek medical help. I'm out of town so I can't go back to the TRU I (thought?) I saw it at. Anyone live around Crystal Lake, IL to verify if I'm nuts or not?

Found the new Platoon figures at 2 Walmarts in Wisconsin, Janesville and Beloit.
On the back of the cards they show the Huey and M48 as also available.

When I first walked into the Figarti room and saw 3 B-17's lined up on a table with their ground crews I said "Wow"! Then I saw the price and said "Ow"! Surprisingly, one was already sold. Way too high for me. I'm just hoping somebody decides to make one for a reasonable price. Sure would like to se...

Figarti B-17E

At the Chicago Toy Soldier Show Figarti introduced a 1/32 scale B-17E. It is a resin model so has very few moving parts. Even the landing gear is stuck in the down position. As seems to be true with anything Figarti, it's quite expensive at $899. They also introduced a 1/32 scale German E-Boat. They...
