Yes, but it involves time travel so it's all good.

Re: Preposterous e-bay listing of the month: 1/48 P-51
Did you check the seller's other items?
I don't know if some of these are extremely short-run items that have been OOP for years or what, but the prices seem over the top to me.
Also noticed he doesn't put the manufacturer's name on the listings. How do we know if it's real or a very good copy?

You still have a Kmart near you?
Closest to me is over 40 miles away in some small town.

Re: Anyone have a clue to this....
The paint does seem sloppy in areas (sloppier than usual for late-era 21st), and no photo of a diecast version I could find had invasion stripes.

Could it be one of the 1/48 planes, and this guy doesn't know his scales? I never collected any of the smaller planes so don't know what schemes got released.

Re: Video: UFOs buzz French rescue helicopter
Biggest problem is the video claims they flew behind the helicopter (from our perspective) but it is quite obvious they are going between the heli and the camera and subsequently also quite obvious they are birds. I am really curious how many people will willfully deny this and claim this video is "...

The card says nothing about the 341st or any unit for that matter. It is a super condensed history of the Stug and the Ausf G in particular. https://ssli.ebayimg.com/images/g/daEAAOSwZB9aJK2X/s-l1600.jpg https://ssli.ebayimg.com/images/g/daEAAOSwZB9aJK2X/s-l1600.jpg That is exactly what is says on t...

Re: Me 262B 1/18
Easiest way to see is:
Go to ebay
Search for item
If nothing shows up, check "sold listings"
See what previous examples sold for
Last one sold on the 22nd for $255 NIB, with a starting bid of $125.

Re: What colour to paint my Reggiane 2005?
Possibly one of the verde mimetico colors?
I have only one Italian kit (The 21st C c.202) and there aren't many in 1/32 anyway, so I haven't info'ed up on the colors yet.
Try googling 'stormo color guide'.

Re: 21st Century 1/32 kits?
The aircraft are not painted, but the vehicles seem to be. At least the Opel Blitz I had were. The aircraft come with decals to do a couple of different schemes. They are still just the unbuilt versions of the boxed vehicles. The Italian planes are getting expensive as they are the only ones in 1/32...

Yeah, the owner just did not care about accuracy. I've seen many of the kits at discount stores like Big Lots and Ollie's and the photos pretty much give away the game. How that company lasted as long as it did is a mystery, unless they were bought by kids with firecrackers.

Re: So exactly what's wrong with the Lindberg 1/72 I-53?
I personally would never touch a Lindberg kit. For the most part they are generally horrible; I think some people buy them simply for the few kits that aren't made by any other company. The owner was notorious for having stated that he didn't care if the kits were good, because it was only kids who ...

Doesn't seem to be any, but if that really is an old Disney character that would explain why. Disney is insanely protective of their IP and charges fees most decal makers can't afford.

Here's a suggestion: Why not just delete the items that have been sold? It will make the list easier for potential buyers to go through since those items will be gone, and make it easier for you to keep track of what is left.

It's a lot easier for a Chinese assembly worker to spray through a template than try to freehand the same pattern on hundreds of vehicles, you know.
And they'd probably have more QC issues as well.

Re: FW 190 as a kit
That's the thing; they weren't nice dots but more like smudgy, random blobs used to break up the blue on the sides of the aircraft. That is the problem with the old artist's profiles; they show them as dots while photos show smudgy, smeary paint that was effectively added to the factory paint by the...
