Re: Is Kickstarter a Means of Getting Our A-10 ?

I'd be in for at least one, if not a few for friends. You can't judge kick starter until you do it, once word gets out, people will funnel in from other military toys sites, and with the huge amount of press the A-10 is currently getting, it may be now or never. I say do it. If it doesn't succeed, n...

Re: Maybe a Chance for the A-10 After All !!

Chances are, everything on the list is something they have already looked at, prototyped, or had already had on a list. It might be more of a "The boss wants to make sure the most popular one gets made"

Re: merit Announcment

Technically speaking, Test shot phase 1, is the first run on the tooling.
This is where they fix any defects before final test shots.

I'd say it would be on schedule for a fall release.

Re: merit Announcment

Indeed, nice and small, taking about a 20.2 inch wing span, and a 31.8 inch length.
just slightly smaller than the F-16, so really nice size for a collection.

Re: merit Announcment

Yep, Harrier is historically important, the first true service VTOL aircraft.

Not just because I'm from AZ, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Harrier Town USA MCAS Yuma Paint scheme

Re: merit Announcment

Ummmmm did we forget about the F35. Single seat, single engine, multiple exhaust and it comes in a Marine Corp. version. Just saying. Merit said "somewhat modern", F-35 isn't even in service yet lol. It's the project to big to fail after all. It's definitely the AV-8B Harrier II, still in service a...

Re: merit Announcment

Instant buy, regardless of the price, which can't be too high, I'm guessing between 180-220$
And I'd actually be happy with repaints.

Can't believe my #2 bird is becoming reality!

Re: merit Announcment

oh great, we're back to the 60's then, so anything from the F100,F104, 105, 106, or A4. Harrier's only have one engine, just four ducts, so it's still a highly unlikely possibility. bah there goes the high hopes I had for something amazing! Why is the Harrier that unlikely? It fits the profile bett...

Re: merit Announcment

Not sure why no one has jumped on the Raptor or the F35 yet, maybe licensing? both are American work horses, I mean can you even count how many movies have had the F-22? F-22 (Transformers trilogoy, Ironman, Hulk ) F-35 ( Die Hard, Hulk, Man of Steel, Avengers ) these models have free pushes in merc...

Re: merit Announcment

well lets have some fun.. F-5 ( not the most popular, but has international slight appeal for being the fake Mig from Top gun, other wise not really the best release for the first non-WWII era fighter, small size and lack oif features mean it would be cheaper to produce and have a smaller price tag....

Re: merit Announcment

I would think retailers would want to know, and Merit would want input on whether the models would be popular. Who better knows the customer then the guys selling the end product and staying current on customer chatter. either way, lets get this thing announced. I'm pondering another purchase, so Ji...

Re: merit Announcment

I vaguely remember there being some rumors coming out of china that an F-5 might be in the works for 1:18 scale. It's been a few years since I heard that but I now wonder if there is any connection. From a production cost standpoint the F-5 would be a nice little project- It's small, not complicate...

Hoping it's at least a "somewhat modern" 80's build.
F-5, F-15, F-111, A6, F-8.. A-10, Harrier... lol
