Re: Why does the BBI P-51 have a big hole behind the radiator flap?
there's supposed to be a small square panel there; I've seen it in several pics. I'm wondering if they were commonly removed during the war for some reason. It's an odd error....it took more effort and expense to make the hole than to have just made it a flush panel.

Why does the BBI P-51 have a big hole behind the radiator flap?
It's a square hole, in front of the tail wheel and behind the radiator flap on the underside. There is a panel covering it on the real plane but not on BBI's model. Anyone know why?

Re: Interesting 1/20 Armor on ebay
yes I noticed that.....at first I couldn't figure out if the t-34 was supposed to be a/76 or /85. However I've been talking with the seller and he is very eager to learn and improve. He plans to do 25 additional tank models. With 3D printing it's pretty easy to make improvements to the model and cha...

Re: Interesting 1/20 Armor on ebay
ok, so I heard back from the seller very quickly. They are indeed 3D printed so he said he will make it whatever size I want. I suggested he advertise that fact in his listings.

Re: Interesting 1/20 Armor on ebay
it's an unusual scale the seller has chosen. Not much interest in 1/20 armour. Usually you see 3d printed 1/18 and 1/16 offered (often both are offered by the same seller) This seller would be wise to switch to one or both of those scales....assuming it is 3d printed of course. I've contacted him wi...

HIYA 1/18 GI Joe figures coming
Got an email from SmallJoes about Hiya's upcoming GI Joe 4 inch figure line. I'm not much of a Joe fan, but the figures look very good. 11 coming out initially, from the movies. Not cheap at $30 a figure though. Check them out on smalljoes if interested.

New Ray 1/18 Side by Side Vehicles
Can anyone vouch that these are actually 1/18 scale? I don't trust New Ray when it comes to their scale claims. I haven't been able to find them in person, so I can't examine the model before buying, so i'd have to buy online and don't want to get burned by an oversize/undersize model.

Re: Big Daddy Missile launchers
Fun fact. I found the PTE Anti aircraft missile truck on Amazon UK. I could buy it, shipped, for about $70 USD. I was just about to purchase but decided to take a second look at the pictures, which weren't great. By studying them closely I realized that it wasn't the PTE Missile truck I was buying b...

1/24 Diecast Chinese WZ-10 Attack Helicopter
This is kind of a neat thing I stumbled across. Nice looking diecast model of a Chinese WZ-10 attack helicopter. Nearly 2 feet long. 1/24 not 1/18 but it is in scale with the Power Team Aerial Rocket Helicopter (Chinese Z-9) and would make a nice pair. Not cheap however. https://www.ebay.com/itm/314...

Big Daddy Missile launchers
Big Daddy is a brand name that makes 4 different missile launcher trucks. They all look ok. Claims the truck is 20 inches long, but i'm skeptical, probably more like 16 inches long and the box it comes in is 20. Has anyone seen these? https://www.ebay.ca/itm/404330102248?hash=item5e23f3bde8:g:vyYAAO...

yeah the price is good, especially given that it's 'best offer' I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet. I hope the seller can pack it well.....it looks pretty fragile.

Re: 1/16 Merit WW2 15cm sFH18 Howitzer
I just read this entire thread. Very interesting discussion from years ago. The eternal battle between 1/18 and 1/16 tanks. :) I've taken a sort of compromise position. Larger vehicles I stick with 1/18. But artillery and small tanks, like the panzer I, FT, tankettes etc I will dabble in 1/16. Even ...

Re: 1/18 BBI Abrams with Mine Plow?
I think the base tank is the Bravo Team Abrams, not the BBI. It's a strange custom......very elaborate in some areas and very simplistic in others. Looks pretty cool though.
I thought at first it might be some under scale GI Joe, Power Team or some such tank but I'm pretty sure it's 1/18 now.

1/18 BBI Abrams with Mine Plow?
what is this? Is this a bbi Abrams with an elaborate custom? Some of the detailing looks cheap, ie stickers for serial numbers and us flag, cheap looking plastic aerial. But other parts look very intricate. Seller's description is not of much help. https://www.ebay.com/itm/186255877413?hash=item2b5d...

pseudo 1/18 T-14 Armata tank
Just putting this out there for anyone interested. This is an RC model tank. It is supposed to be a T-14 Armata, which it does look like, in broad strokes. Has only 6 road wheels instead of 7 on the real vehicle. Can't vouch for the scale being correct but review comments are about it's big size and...

B-1B Lancer by XFly. About 1/24 scale, same as the Freewing B-2 Spirit I posted about a while back. Would make a nice pair. Wings on Lancer swing.

Re: New 1/18 Hind
Sounds expensive. Has Delta 17 made anything else 1/18 scale as a guide to price and quality? Why announce it 2 years in advance.....is this a crowd funding project? EDIT: I found their website. They make a handful of mediocre looking figures. They may be O-ring figures. At the risk of being a wet b...

Re: Opinions on World Peacekeeepers Military Patrol Buggy?
thanks Tman, I can always count on you for good advice. It's a shame that all the great BBI toolings from years ago are going unused. The Elite Force line is still continuing but it a much more toy like form. Why not re-release some of these old toolings instead of making toyish, awful new ones? The...

Opinions on World Peacekeeepers Military Patrol Buggy?
This is PTE's version of the Desert Patrol Vehicle (aka Fast Attack Vehicle). I never saw one in the flesh, so I would be interested in opinions as to it's size and accuracy. I used to have the original BBI FAV but it was destroyed in a fire many years ago and I don't feel like forking out a ton to ...

Re: 1:18 scale Smasha Squig!
As far as i'm concerned, there are 2 big blunders on this toy. First, there is no way to lower the Squig's head into a ramming pose. Second, the Ork's mouth is closed. It should be open and roaring....instead he looks like he's watching the sun set. They should have made this toy more like the GW mo...
