B-17 "Nine O Nine"

I just had to share this pic of my 2 1/2 year-old niece checking out the waist gun on the Collings Foundation B-17. Thanks.

Here is the link for the same video on YouTube. According to the one of the posts in the "Comments" section, the video was shot in the early 1990s and the airplane is currently being restored.

My wife picked up this Fw-190F at one of our local Walmarts about three weeks ago for one of my Christmas presents. Regular price of about $15. They also had a bunch of 1/144 scale dogfight packs and assorted armor. Out of five Walmarts within a reasonable driving distance from our house, only one s...

Re: What's new AC wise in 1/144? (pic added of silver Razorb

I just picked up a couple dogfight packs, 1 is definitely new to my AO the other I may already have, can't remember. The first is a P-47 Razorback/190 combo. I found this one about two weeks ago at the Hickory, NC Toys-R-Us. They must have just gotten them as they had several on the shelf and new s...

No. But that's OK with me since I plan only to display it with the wheels down. Anyone wanting the option of both positions shouldn't make this modification. I'm glad you asked, as I should have mentioned this in my first post. Thanks.

1/32 21C Mustang landing gear correction

I'm getting tired of looking at my 21C P-51 Mustangs sitting on those stilts they have for landing gear, so I decided to try to shorten them to the proper length on my test subject, "Shangri-La". I removed the wing section from the fuselage and measured how far the struts needed to be shortend so th...

I must be living right. I went by WM today and they had only one on the shelf. Now they have none on the shelf. :D

The Lenoir, NC store has their plane's at $25, also. I'm not planning on collecting in this scale, but I did want to get something just to have one. So, I picked up their last "Big Beautiful Doll" P-51. They also had several "Old Crow" P-51s and Korean MiG 15s and one Chinese tiger-stripe MiG 15.

Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet

New guy here. Below is a pic of what I've collected since I started about 2 months ago. I keep them at work because I actually have more time to play with them there than at home.

Hi, folks. I found this forum while doing an Internet search for Bf-109 model info. I had no idea that good quality pre-built and pre-painted models existed until I saw it here. Yeah, building them yourself gives better results and a certain amount of satisfaction, but anymore, I just don't have the...

Rowsdower isn't the only one that got fixed. I signed up several weeks ago and never received an activation email. I'd like to publicly thank Geoff (blurx7) for his assistance in contacting Britt and getting my account activated. I can post now!
