Re: The 1/18's that never happened (but i thought they would)

I really wanted a Hurricane, and an IL-2, and I thought they were popular enough to be made in 1/18

They are shoulder plate armor for the rear gunner designed to be spring loaded around the shoulders of the gunner. They are attached to the seat pivot ring so they rotate as the gunner turns from side to side.

Thanks, Are they thick metal, or some other type of construction ?

Re: SBD on the Bench

What is the purpose of the green hinged panels that appear to close around the gunner's seat ? Are they some kind of heavy steel armor, or something else entirely ?

Russian markings

Regarding the lettering seen on the turrets of WWII Russian tanks, are the words political slogans, dedications, or something else entirely ? I've always been curious about that. Similar things are sometimes seen on Soviet aircraft.

I need a set of French World War I roundels in 1/28 scale. Are you able to produce these ?

Re: What I've been working on......

A few years ago there was an announcement that 21st Century or Admiral was going to produce a line of 1/18 WWI planes, but there was never any further info.

Re: What I've been working on......

I have seen that mistake on many models that were built by folks that have not been around real aircraft. It's really a beautiful model, but that issue jumped right out at me. Hope you can fix it without much trouble.

Re: What I've been working on......

Well done !! But I don't think both ailerons would be hanging down like that unless there is a broken control cable. Should be one up and one down.
