Re: Personal project - Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet

Thats pretty cool looking, how long does that take to print? Is the Sturmgeschütz 3D printed?? It took a couple days mostly since the wings were vertical. The Sturmgeschütz is printed too. The fuselage had some failed prints too at first. So many options are printable. I am on hold for a resin prin...

Monkey Depot
170 South William Dillard Drive
Suite 118
Gilbert, AZ 85233

It is a nice store but very confining with 2 levels. More of a showroom. That was the only time I went.

Too bad this is the only 1/18 product they will carry even in the physical store. No current plans to do anymore at the moment either. Maybe if it sells well. They were not too interested when I went there.

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?

It is good since it can create new buzz in the scale and the 1/18 lines. Many new 1/18 lines have become stable over these last years. It can provide needed supplement to stagnant armies missing enough to complete them. The price is not all that bad compared to buying 2st Century online nowadays. An...

When not being used in a diorama, they are displayed. Some rotated out by franchise. Never really kept anything in the box but I kept the boxes for most.

Basically it seems to be this. Some comments point out swapped parts (like the head) and that seems to be the case.

Re: Die Glocke Personal Project

PLA is a good starter filament. I am happy with it for my needs. For particular uses different types may be needed. They all have pro/cons. Just keep it level and you should be fine. Some prints may need to be printed in sections or certain placements. The Bell is broken up into 3 sections due to it...

Hit a snag. Only ABS available in stores by me so I tried it and my bed is malfunctioning aka not heating. Tried a good layer for it to stick to but no good. More PLA is being ordered online.

Re: Prototype 21st Century Toys 1:18 German...Legit?

Agreed. I got a bunch of that remade stuff cheap a few years ago. All they did was swap the head sculpt from another figure in the series and offered it in lots of 5 for $15 I think. Reproduced prototype versions would be so easy over there. You would have to basically have to buy it to make sure an...

I will finish building the dioramas in the near future. This is what I have finished building/painting (not weathered). I am still new to 3D printing and painting. I am definitely learning as I go. Re: How does your collection grow?

Yeah, I think we all passed on some cool stuff back then by taking it for granted. I recall stacks of Tiger Tanks on clearance that I put off. It helps to appreciate what we do have more. Any plane you create is a great thing. I started to 3D print aircraft. I just finished printing a ME-163. Still ...

I will go ahead and try one of the Thingiverse models. What should be a reasonable size to print it at for 1/18? Maybe 8-10in?

Yeah, some say 10ft tall while others 30+ tall. Not much consistency. Some more rounded and other pics have defined features. The original alleged testimony is lost through interpretation. It may be like making anything else that has it's existence in question - Get the key points and you cant be to...

Die Glocke Personal Project

Maybe it existed, maybe it didn't, maybe it did but the facts are wrong. It is an interesting project to try. I was hoping for some input if anyone knows the best way to proceed it. I want to 3D print it. There are some designs on Thingiverse I saw. There are multiple designs and sizes when I did so...

It is like the G.I. Joe ones but better looking. Those would have been interesting for sure. So much potential that was stopped by them closing.
