Re: I just discovered i have a 1/18 Ford Mutt!
Speaking of the marines, I had a sergeant in Germany, mid 80’s who served with the marines at the end of the Vietnam war and after his time was up, joined the army. I asked why? He said because the army always had new equipment and the marines got the leftovers. He said if he was in another war he w...

Re: I just discovered i have a 1/18 Ford Mutt!
We used the M151A2 1/4 Ton Utility Truck when I was an MP at Fort Polk in 1983-84 and during the Reforger 84 exercises we used them. When the first gulf war kicked off I was in a field artillery unit training at Fort Bragg and don’t remember seeing any “mutts”, our battery had hummers by then as sec...

Re: Pickelhaube's Consignment Corner
Have you considered doing a M3 Stuart Light tank? I’ve searched everywhere for a model in the 1/16 to 1/18 scale and have yet to find one. 1/35 scale is the largest out there? Our local 3D printer guy makes them in either 1/16 scale or 1/18. Grunt Battlefield toys. What’s the best way to contact hi...

Re: Marauder Gun Runners - Marauder Task Force Vietnam War 1/18 Scale Figure Kickstarter
I backed them for one figure with the thought of adding a few more of what I like in the bonus unlocked figures. I really need a 716th MP detachment to take back Saigon from the tet crowd

Re: Collect or Use and Display?
I have MIB stuff but only because I haven’t gotten around to rotating it into the limited space allocated for my collection. But a lot of it is specifically for my two grandsons when they are a little bit older. I want them to play with these cool toys like I did with mine and remember who the cool ...

Re: 1/16 tanks
So, I have bought two Heng Long 1/16 tanks recently, the M4 Sherman and a Pz III, both listed as non-RC, static models to display with my WW 2 troops. I discovered that both were equipped with the electric motors and of course the radio equipment isn’t there. I was wondering if any of you guys have ...

Re: WHAT IS YOUR MAIN AREA OF INTEREST WITHIN THIS HOBBY?
Let’s do some CPR on this thread, I dabble in military toys in general and 1/18 specifically. I started years ago with simple toy soldiers, then the 1/6 GI Joes from my childhood and eventually downsized to that to 1/18ish figures because of the possibilities that exist with different vehicles, both...

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?
I’m still waiting for a good British para in the camouflage smock so I can have my Colonel Roy Urquhart custom. I have a custom painted 007 Sean Connery head from Spartan 118. A Richard Todd head sculpt would be cool too.

Re: Planet Green Valley Mind Controller action figure
Okay, I finally got the figures I ordered from Chiner Great quality and the equipment is nicely designed. As soon as I can dig through some boxes I’m going to try some body parts swapping with MTF Valkyries and the boss fight figures. These seem to be better quality than the Joy Toy figures I have.

Re: SBD on the Bench
I can’t believe that detail on the instrument panel. After basic/AIT at Ft McClellan I was assigned to the 5th MP company at Ft Polk. But it got better, they then sent me to Germany with the 165th MP company at Fischbach army depot (Nuclear Physical Security 😐) I only had 13 months left when I was s...

Folkwulfe, Awesome plane! You mentioned Pensacola earlier and it brought back memories of the museum at the Naval Air Station. All four of my kids attended PCC and over the years we went there quite a bit. I also loved the USS Alabama and USS Drum down the road at Mobile. I also noticed you’re a 95B...

Re: Area-21 news
Wow, this thread is a shot of nostalgia! I always wanted the M551 Sheridan in 1/18 scale that was rumored years ago. It was always great looking for 21st Century’s latest model after dinner on the town. My wife and girls would hit the books a million while I went next door to Toys R Us.

Lol, all this brass reminds me of a special assignment that I worked near the pentagon after the 9-11 attacks. I didn’t know you could get so many generals and full colonels on one elevator

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?
I would welcome another company making WW2 figures, especially Joy Toy. I’ve got 2 sets so far and a couple extra single figures and they’re top notch 1:18 figures. I am not bothered by the joints as some people are because all I have to do is take off my bifocals and voila, no unseemly joints!
