Re: Interest for a 1.18 scaled Bachem Natter

If you want to generate interest, it's probably best to move the entire thread from the Customs forum to here - probably more people will see it here. Also, it's a completely new, highly detailed and accurate CAD designed model, not a custom repaint or conversion of an existing model. In any case, I...

Re: Bachem Natter in 1.18

Fantastic work! May I suggest you move this entire thread to the 1:18 Scale Forum? Likely, a lot more people will see it there, considering that the 1:18 Scale Forum is probably the most visited part of the entire board - and greater exposure will help generate greater interest. Also, it seems more ...

That Su-27 got me excited! But size and cost may be prohibitive... Is only the Su-27S going to be offered, or are there plans to also model other types from the Su-27 family?

That looks great! I'm definitely interested! When will it be available - and at what price? It's a historically very significant weapon - the first precision guided glide bomb to be deployed in combat!

Re: Who wants a " Natter " Viper Scale Drawing Pics !!

I'd certainly be in for a Natter! Apart from the metal and wooden 'telephone pole' launch towers, other possible ways of displaying the model would be on its transport cart, or just on a simple wooden support (which is actually visible in the background in one of the photos posted higher). If I reme...

Re: 1/18 Focke-Wulf Triebflügel

Actually, no torque is transferred to the fuselage: the rotor is being driven by the ramjets at the tip, and not from an engine mounted in the fuselage; hence, the whole setup just rotates around the fuselage, without transferring any torque. This is actually one of the reasons why tip jets have bee...

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1

Actually, the 'before' canopy in picture 1 is a bit too sloped.

The 'after' canopy in picture 2 looks great to my eye, except in its lowest, forward-most part: there's a bit of a break in the slope, whereas it should be a flowing line. Some quick sanding should take care of that.

Great work!!!

Re: The future

I personally would love to see a LaGG-3, but I don't think it will be a very popular choice. The LaGG-3 is an important aircraft because it was the most numerous Soviet single-engine fighter until 1943, and it formed the basis for the superlative La-5 & 7; however, in and by itself, the LaGG-3 was a...

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1

You are an absolute artist! That just looks fabulous!!! I'd tend to agree with the comment on the shape of the canopy. Two other very minor things you may want to consider: - The small vents just ahead of the exhaust should sit in the middle; in the photos, it appears they're positioned just above t...

Re: Any interest in high detailed Me262 turbines in 1:18

HpH models actually also have Jumo 004s - they show them in their Me 262 and Ho 229 models. However, they don't want to sell them as separate kits ... (they do have BMW 003E, DB 605A and Packard Merlin engines as kits for sale). If your Austrian acquaintance is happy to share his e-mail with me, tha...

Re: Re: Who would want a 1/16 He-219? (pics fixed)

I'd love a 1/18 or 1/16 He 219! The only issue here is money - at the moment, I don't have the disposable income anymore I used to have, and a well-detailed He 219 would end up being a very expensive piece... And then of course there's the matter of time to build, and space to display such a large m...
