I'd go for the 1:32 parts. You going to be down this way anytime soon, or maybe I'll be up thataway, hmmm...

I have mine sitting in a box about four feet to my right. The box is dusty.

You know, somehow this does actually seem appropriate for the Dreadnoks. Maybe not so much an autonomous cannon, but the rest of it seems like their cup-o-tea.

Re: Need New Product Ideas. (Diecast)

1:32 scale modern armor and softskins. Actually, Cold War era to modern era. It's a fairly neglected market. WWII is/has been done by so many. 1:72 is coming along, but a bit small for my liking. I've long stood by the idea that if the tracks don't move, I don't buy. 1:32 offers a good compromise in...

I'll probably get one, even though I know there's no way it'll be a Gulf War Wild Weasel version.

Re: Looking for a gizmo...

Try looking into a screw type jack. They are commonly used as the factory jack on many cars. They can go down to about 3" and usually up, well, I don't think I've ever measured, but quite a way. Use raise/lower them by turning a fitting on one end, so they needn't be "jerky", and could be motorized ...

Re: 1/18 train track and trucks question

Sorry, for got to add, it seems like what you'd want is track that is about 3.139" between the rails.

You know, for static display, you might be able to custom make your own... Make your own ties, and use "G" rails... Then find a way to widen some LGB trucks...

Hmmm....

Re: 1/18 train track and trucks question

When you say you measured it to be about 2", was that between the rails, or over all, ie; the ends of the ties? "G" gauge track should be 1.772" between the rails, 1.765625 would be 1:32 scale, so you can see that those numbers are about spot on. The reason most LGB claims to be 1:20.3 scale, is bec...

Re: 1/18 train track and trucks question

Panzer, I'm hardly an expert, I've just looked into it for my own desires a time or two. It's just that I prefer 1:32 modern, so I have my own struggles before me. Quick Googling revealed a British steam locomotive, wanna swap sides and have it strafed by some Germans? British steam Though it's actu...

1:18 F-16, not BBI?

Forgive me, as I don't often post in the 1:18 forum, as 1:32 is my main vice, but I saw this:

F-16C

And I don't seem to recall hearing of it before. For the record, I found the link here on our board, in the B/S/T forum. Who knows more about this than I do?

Re: 1/18 train track and trucks question

I did some looking into the railroad thing a while back, and what I found was good news for me, but maybe not so much for you. As it turns out, 1 gauge track, that is, the track that "G" gauge trains use, is almost perfectly 1:32 scale, when compared to standard railroad track. In the real world, mo...

Did I see correctly, a new Abrams in 1:32?

Finally something to get excited over, new 1:32... This dry spell, combined with a move that still has me without a "project room" was about to do me in. This is good news indeed.

Now where am I going to display a third platoon of Abrams...?

If only A-10s performed strafing runs for birthday parties... Is it true that the bullets fired from the Vulcan will hit the target before the sound of the gun firing is heard? Ok, was able to get the pics of the item I mentioned earlier. I just notice that it also has the destroyed truck in it. The pics aren't great, but at least the one of the back of the box gives you an idea of it's contents. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/CanteenX/SSMHQ/IMG_20111008_151800.jpg...
