Re: MIDWAY movie
I enjoyed the movie and think the critics do not know what the hell they are talking about. Yes there were a few things wrong with the movie and yes they couldnt fit it all into the movie. But I think they did an amazing job telling the story of the gallant sailors, airmen, and marines at Midway. Th...

Re: MIDWAY movie
This one's shorter and really good... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZeTm3hp2UQ Hollywood is always going to take visual liberties for the sake of a rectangle on a screen directly in front of you they must tell the whole story on. Like having the ships too close together. To get multiple ships in...

Re: Cologne Panther Killer gets Bronze Star 75 years later
I recall the Panther commander hesitated. Fatal mistake. Possibly because the Pershing was new to the theater and he might not have identified it immediately as hostile. It certainly didn't look like a Sherman or Churchill. If i remember correctly from the book that is exactly why. The commander of...

Re: 1/18 A4E Skyhawk 2019
I don't want anyone to think the project is dead. Typical with our hobby life and work gets in the way. I haven't figured out how to win the lottery. I've been working on it here and there, but not enough to post consistent updates. Also with a project like this you have to be thinking five steps d...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
The only Kickstarter that I was skeptical of from any person or group that was 1:18 was the MARV from Wayward Goat. As much as I wanted to see it succeed I think he asked for too much and had too many variations.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
Their business model is quite successful. I don't think anyone has to worry....this time. They've had similar delay issues going back to 2015 where they had promised delivery before Christmas only to announce in December it wasn't going to happen. They blamed "shipping errors" and color confusion. ...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
Late August now? I'm not in on this but I'd be furious. That's a real kick in the shorts. They've had a year and a half to get these in your hands. Curious what excuse they are using for the delay? The standard one is always problems with the Chinese manufacturers or customs issues. I warned of the...

:?: Anyone get their figures? If memory serves me it was supposed to be this month? Re: FOV rouses itself from slumber...!!!
I was trying to suggest to FOV that they release a repaint of their M26 Pershing as the Pershing that knocked out the Panther in the famous tank duel in front of the cathedral in Cologne. It appears that Facebook is the only way to contact them, but I don't use Facebook. FOV used to release models ...

Re: 1/18 Scale M-4A3E8 The Easy 8
I would not be too picky about the tracks, though it is good to know what was early and later. I am still interested no matter which tracks are made for this. I would use one Late war and for Korea. I hope that this kit happens, as I said before, I want one. I just need to find and buy a donor Sher...
