Re: What Might Have Been ....Will The A-10 Become A Reality

Pickle

If there really is this little interest, maybe you all could re calculate with the firm takers you have and see how much it would be for each plane. No one is expecting you to work for free, but I'd still be in if the costs doesn't go too high

Re: What Might Have Been Or What Could Be....

Like the man said, given the state of the economy, I think this is as close as we're EVER gonna get for an A-10 that doesn't cost thousands of dollars. This might be the only opportunity to get this bird. I'm surely not happy with paying $500 for it either, but that is the price and I'm gonna jump a...

One of my old troops, who is now a scummy officer type, knows some A10 guys. We'll see what kind of response he gets.

Re: What Might Have Been Or What Could Be....

Although I have no resin kit building skills, count me in if you post kit build instructions! ;-) You know I will . :D The only thing that makes resin differ from injection moulding is pour stubs and those confounded air bubbles. Sanding and modelers putty can take care of that. Resin models do hav...

Re: What Might Have Been Or What Could Be....

Do it. Althought I have virtually no contact with the A-10 world nowadays, I have started putting the word out among my Air Force compadres. We'll see what kind of response I get

Re: What Might Have Been Or What Could Be....

What are you thinking for a "kit", just so I know what to tell folks? Wing and tail assembly, or more? I'm good with a kit if that's the only way to get this. beggers can't be choosers

Re: What Might Have Been Or What Could Be....

I don't hang out here a whole lot, but I know I've seen at least a few people with interest. I don't know if there is any other way to advertise a possible project like this, but I'd be in for $500, plus a little to offset the startup costs. The only thing I'd like is to see it be in the NATO green ...

Re: So...what's next for Merit?

1/18 B-17 would be ridiculously huge. Don't think they would sell many at all. I certainly wouldn't buy one. Think a Mosquito, B-25, or F-15 is as big as 1/18 should go. Sitting side by side, a B-17 is just a bit bigger than a F-14. If folks were going to accomodate an F-14, I don't think they'd ha...

Re: So...what's next for Merit?

I know it'd be expensive. And I know it's been requested to death, but I'd really like an A-10. I don't even need all the pods and/or armament, just the plane. I started active duty at RAF Bentwaters in the 80's, and at the time we were the largest tactical fighter wing in the world with 110 A-10's ...

German 88

Hi everyone! As my name suggest, I've been lurking here a long while. Generally didn't post for various reasons, however, I do remember the excitment over the 88. So I'm surfing one day and found this http://www.militaryissue.com/product_info.po?ID=11599&product=Models&category=air&subcategory=Non-A...
