Re: New BBI Modern Figures

Went today, they didn't have any new ones at my store. But like sdhenke said the older ones were on clearance, for $2.49. I'll have to sneak back on Wednesday and grab them without the wife around.

Yes, it went twice without being sold. I wanted it but I have a Corgi version of it, but I did buy the HMS Colossus version from JOC looking forward to it.

The ones I have from Platoon were painted on. The others I have were molded with the skin tone.

Re: Airstrike Toys?

I saw the 2 Corsairs and 1 Hellcat on the Database. I should've got it. I know it didn't sell, so it will probably be back up again. They do look good though! I still can't believe that people tried to go after him legally. If I was the company i'd try to get him to come onboard and do customs or ma...

Re: Airstrike Toys?

That's the one that was on eBay. I really hope no one would've tried to go after him on mods and repaints, that would've been pretty pointless.

So are these a mixture of stencils and decals or all decals?

Looks good and my favorite scheme with the Catmouth. How is the Eduard kit? I have one of their 1/48 FAA Hellcats that's in my stockpile.

Re: Airstrike Toys?

On eBay there's one going for $200 ending today. I wouldn't mind getting it but I already bought some FAA markings from CANMILAIR for a custom Corsair I plan on doing.

Airstrike Toys?

I happened to run across a F4U Corsair done in FAA colors done by Airstrike Toys. I found some more, while researching on the database. Anyone know about these, quality wise, paint, decals or painted on markings?

I like the cradle that VMF-115 posted up. I just need to figure out the dimensions to make something in 1:18 scale.

1 18 V-1 Buzz Bomb cradle ideas?

Well I stopped at a Hobby shop in Baton Rouge, LA and I picked up the Pegasus V-1 pre-painted version. Has anyone made a stand for this or made a cradle? Just looking for pics, plans, or ideas.

Re: Interesting Shop in Lancaster, OH

Hmmmmm. My wife is from Blue Ash but she would be suspicious if I asked if we could go up there and stay with her parents. I want to go back to Wright-Patterson and see this place also. Seems like there's a plethora of 1 18 stuff in Ohio.

Re: Do you keep the empty boxes?

I keep mine in storage. I keep all the rubber bands, twisty ties, and even the bags small parts come in. I bought a few of the extra large moving boxes and put my 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 boxes in there. I figure they would sell better if you keep all the boxes. You never know when you might need some m...

Re: WTB: CORGI B-17 TAIL WHEEL DOWN

I was also looking for the ball turret mount, since one side had broke, I was able to fix that myself. But they said in the e-mail they checked all their sources and had nothing for any of the B-17's, because I said I would take parts from any version they had. But I have heard that people got parts...

I'll try hanger pub. I already contacted Corgi and they're completely out of B-17 parts or at least that's what they told me in their e-mail.

What type of paint did 21st Century use on their A/C

So, I'm trying to repaint a 1 /48 F6F Hellcat. For the past 2 weeks it has soaked in Purple Power for a week, 91% alcohol for a week, tried PolyS ELO, Easy Off, and it won't budge. Not even the glue has broken loose. Well i'm just going to sand it now, for a repaint. But i've never had issues with r...

I understand exactly what your saying Apache. Well I think that's great your doing it for other scales too! Also, I hope I didn't offend with $2-$3 remark, i'm just thinking like most people i know "cheap and quick" but never realize the work that goes into something.

Re: Rucksacks and Military Equipment Castings

Have you thought about trying them on eBay? I think it would provide a bigger audience than the forums would. I think they'd sell if they were $2-3 easily, but like you said it is the personal investment and time you put in to it and your not a factory popping these out every minute.
