Re: FOV November Releases!!!

The funny thing is, a week or two before the Fire Fly had been announced, I had predicted it would be one of the next releases! There is going to be a lot of very happy UK collectors.. Now if they would only re-release the 1:32 Challenger II!

Re: Dragon 1:18 Action Hero Space Collection Announced!

The range would certainly suit a 1:18 Lunar Module, maybe the one in the picture is more than just a mock up? The one in the picture is an illustration, not a model, and yes these have been in development for a while now. And anyway, where's the weathering? Shouldn't his boots be dusty? Yep, clearl...

Re: Dragon 1:18 Action Hero Space Collection Announced!

Rather poignant timing by Dragon just a few days after Neil Armstrong's death. The figures certainly look good and I will certainly look out for them if they ever reach the UK. I wonder if Dragon plan to produce a 1/18 Moon Lander? Now that would certainly be impressive!! Well, that was my first th...

Dragon 1:18 Action Hero Space Collection Announced!

I know this is a military forum, but I think this will interest most people. It also may seem to indicate that Dragon has plans to move into the 1:18 military market. Without further delay here is what Dragon have to say; (Parts that seem to suggest further releases are in bold) "Making one giant le...

We are expecting this soon. It has been really popular on the pre-order front. I am not surprised as it looks a great model!

Agree MG-42, the truck is too short and stubby looking for 1:32 scale.

The cargo trucks have not been very popular so far this year. I have never seen a Chaffee with th...

Re: Even More Forces of Valor Due For Release in August!

Why did they feel the need to "reintroduce" the ambulance? Its not like its all that old - certainly not as old as the Zundapp. Yes, this is what I was thinking. I will try and find out if there has been any changes to it, in terms of paint/detail. Seems a bit odd as it is still readily available, ...

These are due in August, but I suspect late September is nearer to the truth.

Glad to see the Zundapp re-released, great model.

Re: FoV jeep and ambulance?

I'm looking forward to this and the German KFZ. 70 Personnel Carrier. While the tanks are always nice, its great to get some of the transport vehicles for creating convoys and other non-combat scenes. The jeep looks awesome and I love the trailer. Any news on when the KFZ 70 will be available? FoV ...

Re: * New FoV Chaffee *

From the trend I'm seeing, it might be better to pre-order the item, since many pre-orders are only $60. Some prices had jumped up to $70 plus shipping once the item is in stock. Just want to add, that this might not be seller greed. I am sure the price we were quoted upon release and the p...

Re: M1 Abrams production to end

I can't believe there isn't a market for this tank. Why can't they sell 'stripped' down models to our allies or third world countries?.. The US has huge M1 reserves (so much it was cheaper for you to give some to Greece!), if called for they can be deployed. Production is expensive to keep open, ev...

Check the M24 chaffe gun mantle before you buy. Could just be a one time thing, but I had to send one back to our suppliers as it had cracked.

Fun With Photoshop and 1:72 Models

Hey guys, This is something I did recently for our blog. The pictures are from another collector who lives in Spain, he has his own blog called "Panzer 100% Sloped Armor". He takes pictures of his collection set against scenic backdrops and scenarios, along with a little information on the subject. ...

Looks great, interesting packaging. However, that seller is from Hong-Kong (where Unimax is based). They always seem to get them a few weeks earlier as there is no shipping time from manufacturer to distributor. Anyone in the UK will have to pay VAT+charges on top of that price as it is from outside...
