Re: F-14 GE F110 & F18 F404 Exhaust Nozzel
Those look awesome dude, way beyond the crap that BBI put on there. I for one will be happy to add a set to my future Hornet. I also can't wait for the Tomcat engines to grace my bird.

Looks to me like the guys is illegally circumventing the Ebay fees by padding his shipping costs...Or at least that's what I reported on all of his retardedly priced items to Ebay

That looks great, and it really adds to the scale of the Tomcat with something near it, now it really looks to be the big fighter we all know it is.

Personally, I'd prefer full afterburner for a hornet since it'll be sitting on one of your stands.

Re: 1/18 MD-3 A/S32-31A Carrier Tractor
$35+ S/H for a kit version I think is an exceptional price, especially since that thing doesn't look extremely difficult to detail for those who are willing. A finished kit is also very reasonable at around $70 with all the details you have packed in, so I think you're on the mark. I, for one, would...

Re: Your opinion!! F-14 GE F110 Exhaust Nozzel
Hell yes to the start of Hornet engines! I think a whole new nozzle with a tube that inserts into the hornet would be the way to go as long as modifying the hornet to receive them isn't too hard on the end user. If the end of the hornet that the nozzle comes off of is a hollow cap that can be cut of...

To quote the classic play Oliver: "Please, sir, may I have another?" Dude, sign me up for a pair from the first batch. I feel like with your talents and my habit for collecting nice stuff, I'm going to owe you a kidney before long. Seriously though, these things are NEEDED. Thanks PizzaGuy, you're r...

Re: BBI announces f-18c
I don't think comparing this to a really nice HM 1/72 CF-18 is fair. That HM model is superbly detailed, painted, accessorized, and is made of heavy diecast metal. This thing is a hair beyond toy, made of plastic, and is very basic in composition. Justifying a scaled up price for a not-equal scaled ...

This thread is all revved up. Corey, I'm not sure who you are aiming your comments at, but I sure do have respect, knowledge, and passion for these vehicles and the men who used them. I also have been collecting one thing or another for a long time, and I know when I see a company throttling it's ma...

Re: Wanted: SkyWorks F-14D Nozzles.
I think it would be great if you could supply Pickel with a basis for new nozzles. I'm completely bummed that eventually when we do the VF-101 repaint it will still have A-nozzles on it, and I'm sure lots of guys are in the same boat. I doubt Jack ever got a copyright on the design, and I doubt with...

Re: BBI announces f-18c
And considering the most common "Golden Dragons" is going for $300 on Ebay, don't really think this is price gouging. Why not charge for what they can get for it. It is a business after all. The market will dictate what is a proper selling point for these new BBI releases. Dude, that's the very def...

$189? WTF... That's a bit insane. Sounds like they're straight up gouging us on this one.

Wanted: SkyWorks F-14D Nozzles.
Hey guys. I'm still on the lookout for a set of SkyWorks Nozzles for the JSI Tomcat. Eventually I want to get it repainted as an F-14D VF-101, and those nozzles are going to be a big part of completing the look. If anybody has a spare set, or a line on a set still at a retailer, please let me know. ...

Re: BBI announces f-18c
I think they all look that way. Unlike the JSI Tomcat that was intended to be more model-like, this bird started out as a $40 Toys-R-Us shelf-stock piece that really didn't have maximum detail in mind.

And Phaid, I also cringed when I saw the exhaust nozzles. I'm half tempted to drill them out or something. But since I don't have a 1/18 Hornet yet, I guess for now that random camo scheme will have to do.

I think this would have been a 1000x better choice, especially given the livery on the last F-16. These would have sold like hotcakes.

Re: 1/18 MD-3 A/S32-31A Carrier Tractor
I have a bunch of 1/72 Verlinden kits that also came like that. I guess you could always offer a rough kit that is similar to Verlinden's kits and then a "ARB" kit for more $ that was almost-ready to-build, kinda like the RC plane kits that are sold either as a full build or almost airworthy forms. ...
