RC Tank Clubs Attention
Greetings Fellow Tankers: I'd like to compile a list of all those 1/16th scale RC tank clubs around the world. I'm hoping that we can get a comprehensive list over the next few weeks or months. I will post this on multiple forums so we can pick up as many clubs as possible. Therefore, if you enter y...

Re: FRAG: Battlefield Second Group of Pictures
Everything but the trees, bridges and RR track gets put away in the shed until the next battleday. Takes about 2 hours to set it all up. Lots of fun. PP

FRAG: Battlefield Second Group of Pictures
The following pictures are a second group showing some of FRAG’s battles in 2010. Hope none of these are repeats and that you enjoy them. Re: 1/16th Scale WWII Vehicles Pictures
1/16th scale is .0625% of full size. 1/18th is .0555% The difference is .007, so 1/16th is 12.6% larger than 1/18th. That may sound like a lot, but in reality they go together well. AND....its so much easier getting 1/18th guys into a 1/16th vehicle as a driver PP

Re: FRAG: Build thread for 1/16th RC Hetzer
Star Models just seemed to drop out of sight....after he admitted he was not a tanker, but was going to produce the kit, but didn't know all that much about the Hetzer or making a kit. I think he only saw it as a make money quick deal, rather than how we all see them as a labor of love. So maybe som...

FRAG: Build thread for 1/16th RC Hetzer
Gentlemen: Some of you have asked for a “build thread” for my 1/16th RC Hetzer. This will be very lengthy as there are quite a few pictures to the story. Some of you may have already seen this on other Forums that I visit. This model is essentially a resin top hull, metal lower hull, reinforced runn...

FRAG: 1/16th RC Hetzer
I'd like to share with all of you the 1/16th scale RC Hetzer tank, which I 95% scratch built over the last year. I started with a Cromwell hull top, modified it by cutting away a hugh amount and hollowing it out. The rest of the work involved making RTV molds, both normal strength and high temp, cas...

1/16th German 105mm Field Gun
Here are some pics of the 1/16th scale 105mm German Field Gun shown in one of my other threads. It's resin and made by a Czech company called MPM, Kit HML #101 and 102. http://www.mpmshop.cz/main.asp?akt=516994 might lead you to the right page. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h383/Panzerpablo/Le...

FRAG's 1/16th Scale Battlefield Pictures
Compfire placed a link to a link to pictures in one of my other threads, to show you some of our battlefield photos. I will post them here over the next couple days, to make it easier for you to access. FRAG (Front Range Armor Group) is the second oldest RC tank club in the world, and was the first ...

Re: 1/16th Photo Diorama
I explained a lot of the details in my opening statement, but here are more: 1. Make wood base frame. 1/2" PW on bottom. 1/8" masonite sides, cut to desired contour. 2. Fill inside with styrofoam sheets (some come 3" thick) to contour desired (hills, gullies, road way, elevated area for building). 3...

1/16th Photo Diorama Pictures
As a result of the pictures posted on the 1/16th Vehicle thread, I have had a request to post the background diorama. This was built to provide a realistic setting for taking pictures of vehicles and tank models. It is interchangable with German or American forces. Its about 4' wide by 3' deep, and ...

Re: 1/16th Scale WWII Vehicles
Not long after the truck convoy went by, a Jeep weapon's platoon rolled past. As many of you have no doubt noted......the soldiers are 1/18th scale. They fit well inside or out. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h383/Panzerpablo/JeepConvoyFront.jpg http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h383/Panzerpa...

Re: 1/16th Scale WWII Vehicles
Next are American trucks, but one I forgot of a German. Bet most of you know this one as a 1/18th scale Indiana Jones Cargo Truck. Weathered with stowage added. Next to it is the ever famous 1/18th Kublewagon. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h383/Panzerpablo/TruckandVolkswagen.jpg The American o...

Re: 1/16th Scale WWII Vehicles
OK....we're in business. The next truck is a Highway 61 Ford stake bed truck...1940's also. Scratch built side panels and a canvass top were added. Again stripped and repainted and heavily weathered with chalks, then over sprayed with Testor's Dullcoat. For those that don't know, there were Ford fac...

We have a permenent battlefield which includes many buildings, trees, bridges and static dioramas to e...

Re: 1/16th Scale WWII Vehicles
Thank you all for the reply. I don't know if any of you are the forum administrator, but if so and if you wanted to set up a 1/16th thread (instead of using the 1/18th), then perhaps that would be better. I am the CO of one of the many 1/16th scale RC tank clubs, we've been in business for 10 years ...

Does this 1/18th forum topic permit discussion and pictures of 1/16th scale WWII vehicles and other models? Are there any members on this thread from Europe? I'm seeking info on 1/16th scale diecast German vehicles, and am hoping that European members can give some help. Thanks PP
