Re: September HM have finally arrived

Great news on the "Vark", as everyone has noted, this one is a must have. 8) Anybody have any info on the the HM VF-31 "Tomcatters" F-4J...?? Aikens has it listed as a Sept. 2010 release, but it's still in "pre-order" status. http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/5669/ha19212fp.jpg That bird's beak lo...

Re: Favorite 72nd scale jet fighter.

Although technically not a fighter, my favourite would have to be the 1/72 Century Wings SR-71. The plane looks uber cool. 8) http://www.onmarkint.com/static/images/c/cw-sr71/cw-sr71c.jpg http://www.centurywings.com/model/sr71_17978.html Snake, why am I not surprised? But the OP did say "figh...

Throw in a cat, a wine bottle, and a curved Panzerfaust we'll be all set.

I got it and think it looks great too. Snake is right about the stripes, that's how they should look.

One poster had a good point, not really a criticism. It would look good with an open paratrooper door.

Thanks to Panzer M

Panzer gave me a hint on an unusal model, and he's right it should fit my tastes and collection perfectly. It's a Yat Ming 1:48 Finnish Mig-3. It will be my first YM so I'm interested in the quality. I'll post pictures when it gets here. It will go well with my Finnish Buffalo.

Thanks PanzM!

Re: Lots of new armor today, and some planes

These have been on order and being shipped for months. I ordered them back when I was more interested in armor than aircraft. I also got an M1A Abrams even though I'm not a modern armor fan. I got it (and a T72 coming) to commemorate my time in Iraq. I think the weathering on the M46 Pershing is jus...

Fragile, fragile, fragile! Don't bother trying to wedge the driver under/around the steering wheel, he won't fit. I broke the driver's seat and three of the four mud flaps trying to do it.

Re: Lots of new armor today, and some planes

The only real review or comments I have is that the Normandy Panther and Sherman both are crying out for weathering. Even the Tiger I for that matter. The fenders and side skirts are clicheingly bent and dented but there's not a speck of dirt anywhere. Oh, and on the Eastern Front Panzer IV the side...

Lots of new armor today, and some planes

My stuff from smalljoes just came. Their orders always take weeks longer than any other company but their prices are lower than any other company. In today's batch were an FOV Panther, Tiger I, Panzer IV, Normandy Sherman, Stug III and M1 Abrams. Also from 21st Century a Hetzer and Panzer 38(t). Als...

Re: How about a big die cast plane?

Corgi has a whole series of "large" airplanes, including B-52s, but they scaled them down to 1:144. Even then, they are a comparable size to the 1:72 bombers. 1:72 models of the "large" aircraft would be huge, heavy, and quite expensive! Even though they already have one in 1:144 scale, I do see th...

Fellas, I'm on my fourth marriage. Yes, you read that right, 4th. If there is anything I know it is WIVES, and finally have a keeper. She would clean them before I knew they needed it, have my dinner ready, and love me longer than I could stand it. If you live long enough, life can be good.

You guys just haven't taught them right. But like a good dog all women are trainable. Oh, excuse me a moment..."Woman, when you get your clothes back on fetch me a beer. And since it's your birthday you can wait till after you do the breakfast dishes to change the oil in the car." ...now, where was I?

I took a quick trip to Osan Air Base this week. I was hoping to find some forgotten and long retired diecast. The only one I found were six copies of http://www.aikensairplanes.com/forces%20of%20valor/fv80222.htm It retails at Aikens for $59 and I got it on clearance for $29. I would have bought mor...
