Movable Surfaces

Hello Jason: As always, your answers are full of insight and good information. I've learned more about this industry from you than anyone else. I'd personally be willing to accept a complete, large model with no moving surfaces. However, it would be preferable to have a large model made in two or th...

Your F-86

Ski, congrats on your new acquisition man! Is it the S1 version or the new edition F-86? As you know, I totally love this model airplane and now own three of them.

Black it is

I have the airbrush also, and have done several small projects with it, but I'm yet to try doing any work on my XD airplanes, for fear of messing things up. I'd say a flat black is a good choice, very lightly applied to give a more realistic look.

Hello

yeap! A hinged fuselage for the large bombers that have been suggested would be the way to go. There's been some discussion as to the possibilities of making such large models in 1:18, and so far, Admiral Toys appers to be the only company somewhat ineterested in doing it. Let's keep our fingers cro...

Dubar, one more question if you don't mind: You talked about a B-17 you have. Can you share some of those details as well? The 17 is my all time favorite aircraft of WW-II. I just love the beast! Thank you.

hello

Hello everyone: I've purchased two of the Guillow's models, the B-17 in 1:25 scale and a Piper Cub. They're excellent quality models with very accurate shapes. These models came with tissue paper for their skin, but I've decided to use 1/32" balsa wood sheet to completely cover the B-17, except for ...

Bravo, great pictures. I love the natural look for the pilots, soldiers and the aircraft. The Vietnam-era helicopter pictures are terrific. Thank you for sharing.

MiG-15

A great addition to the fleet, for sure. Now my F-86s will have boggies on their sight. Overall, the shape of the airplane looks very realistic, and the guns and movable surfaces gives it that extra realistic touch. I'm excited about it and looking forward to release date.

Light at the end of the tunnel.

Great news on the Avenger, at last! Already ordered the Atlantic version from BCA, and will most likely order the bunker Hill, being the beauty that it is. With the size of these babies, space is becoming a real concern for me.

good idea, again.

I think it was Tman-the-Great who recently suggested the idea. Perhaps each model could be assigned to a volunteer, who then would be responsible for a through review and picture posting.

I believe it's time for such a project, so lets push it. How about it General?

21C F-86 Sabre

Although the 21-C F-86 will be the 'F' series, from which the leading edge slots were removed for aerodynamic reasons, the wing of the Admiral Toys Sabre is unbeatable with its retractable slots. As models go, the looks of a "dirty" wing (flaps and slots deployed), is just too beautiful to ignore. A...

Great poll Jericho. I had a real hard time deciding because ideally, we should have all those goodies with our models. But I finally decided on the motorized prop, which to me at least, would be very cool.
