I did, 1983. (I date all my wood bases). Still remember what a pain that particular 2 pc hull was. Still have it too surprisingly enough. :)
I built it a few times too. :D

A far cry from some of the stuff we built as kids. I remember my first model ever was the venerable 1/570th scale RMS Titanic.

Rows: Don't speak bad about the FOV Spit you sold me, I like it and got a good deal on it! I'm happy with it! :) I honestly do not feel the FOV Spit is all that bad, with the exception of the bombs it came with which look kind of funky. To me it's a decent enough looking airplane. I've seen plenty ...

Stopped by the Niagara Falls NY Walmart today. All I could see were Kursk and Tunisia playsets, three Berlin Express P-51's, three Black 3 Bf-109E's and XD figures (WWII and the Platoon lineup)

Re: BBI F-4J praise

I moved some of my models around today, and I moved my BBI F-4J to a lower shelf. The more I look at this model, the nicer it looks. When you look at it from the front, you can see how cool the fat main gear tires look. This model really captures the look of the Phantom, and I am really looking for...

Visited a brand new WM today. Just opened this morning. I had visions in my head of all manner of new 21C product. Alas. They had 6 1/32 planes (one china P-40 and the rest different versions of the P-51B) and a couple of pegs of the same old 1/18 figures. That was it. Not even a selection of...

Swung by a Target store today in Niagara Falls NY to see what FOV stuff they had. I managed to pick up a 1/72nd M3 Grant and Sdkfz 251. Tommorow I'm heading back over and if possible I might stop in again and get an M-113.

Fox Tare-28 I've been thinking about going the placard route lately. I like the ones you did. Mind sharing how you made those? Thanks much. It's simple. In my case I used small pre-cut wooden plaques (I can't remember the exact name or dimensions but I think they're slightly larger than a credit ca...

The Fox's lair

Inspired by Coreyeagle, and Alloy skull, I decided to post my collection: First off, a shot of my shelf of 1/32nd scale aircraft. I picked up the POW/MIA flag in California. Above it is an 82nd Airborne flag as well: http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/3576/bigredcollection044kf2.th.jpg Some close up...
