Re: 1/16 tanks

Nice! A big improvement over the original paint. I'm tempted to give my Hen Long Tiger a repaint

I've been hooked since the first ME 109 and P 51 came out. Has it really been 10 years? The good ol' TOYS R US days bring back fond memories.

Looking at all the post totals for all the other guys who joined this forumn in Oct 2004, I feel like a real slacker.

I too like the FOV Germans and would like them more if they didn't mostly come with a MP-40 or 44 pouch, yet no MP 40 or 44. I wish they would come out with different colored smocks and a bunch of k 98's with the pouches. They do fit in well with the 21st figs IMO.

I'm with you Chet. I'd love a Huey and at 60$, I'd be ecstatic. I know I'll get a P-38 for sure, the others I don't know.

Maybe 1. The thing is so huge, I have to judiciously allot display space for any new planes.
I would for sure get a F-15, as I see them fly past my house at least 1-2 times a week and feel a bit of a connection to them.

Funny that many of the items I've purchased for great prices from MD, I would have been glad to have paid retail for if I could have found them at my local Walmarts. The Avenger, I looked for many times and could never find it when they came out a couple of years ago, I'd have plunked down $70.00 in...

Thanks for the post aferg, very interesting and thanks to you Teamski for the link to the old thread, your ships are pretty darned impressive. And talking of impressive, that Corsair from that German site is freaking insane. The detail blows my mind and seeing it built step by step was interesting.

Maybe I'm nuts :P but I'm not convinced 21st Century is dead. I admit it doesn't look good but they've been on the ropes before in the last 8 or 9 years and have always come back.

I checked MD again, just a short while after ordering the Dragon Americans and what do I see the danged Dragon Germans. So now I have got to order these but I wasn't able to select US 1st class for 2.50 like I was able to on the Americans. I added a pak40 and that took the Fedex shipping to 9.00 fro...

Buildings for 1:18 scale?

Does anyone Know of a source for buidings that work well with 1:18 scale?
I know of the 21st century items and the Build-a-rama corner ruin. I was hoping for correct sized doll house items etc.
Thanks for any info.

Thanks fpr the pics. The Roman looks pretty darn good. Except for the way too thick Cheek plates on the helmet and the wierd cut on the front of his tunic, he's damn near perfect. I especially like the shield(scutum) and Belt (balteus).
Where did you buy them? I think I need a couple.

I'm convinced. After the wife leaves for work tommorow, I'm going to go pick up a camo version at Target. I was suprised seeing the comparison pics with the BBI M1 that I thought FOV wins hands down.
