Re: SBD on the Bench
A bit late to the party, but I wanted to chime in and say excellent work! I have many of the BBi ones in the smaller 1/32 scale and have yet to tackle a repaint. I have a few of the HM ones as well, but they are cost prohibitive. Anyway, great job, and sorry the work isn't getting the attention it w...

Re: Overlord Miniatures 1/32
They did for a time, but I think the scale did not garner enough interest unfortunately. I also recall a conversation with the representative of the company I was dealing with and them stating that 1/32 was not very profitable and they were going to drop the scale.

As an update, I placed an order a few weeks back for some of their 1/32 items and I will try and remember to post a review here when I receive them.

Overlord Miniatures 1/32
Hello everyone, after some discussion with the 3D Printing miniature company Overlord Miniatures, they have decided to offer up some 1/32 vehicle prints. They are vehicles that you won't find in 1/32 scale elsewhere, so be sure to give them a look! Pretty fairly priced as well. https://www.overlordm...

Re: B-21 Raider bomber--Dec. 2
So whatever happened to "black projects"? You know, the type where we aren't just unveiling this stuff to the general public and left many thinking they were UFOs and such for a decade or so before revealing what they are? I think the B-2 program was started in the late 70s/early 80s and wasn't made...

Re: FOV rouses itself from slumber...!!!
Can't say I agree with Motor Pool's assessment on the FoV 1/32 Panther. That thing needs some work. The upside down mantlet, the non-removeable schurzen and spare tracks, no versions beyond the ausf G with no zimmerit to speak of. They should re-do that tank 100%.

Waltersons now have their own distribution in the U.S., so shipping should be much less than it used to be. Heard this from the FoV Facebook rep just a few days ago.

Re: Hummel 1/18 or Nashorn 1/18
If it is an early Hummel, much of the hull would be the same, and the only differences would be the some superstructure plate dimensions, crew compartment variances for the different ammo, and of course the gun itself.
If I had to pick though, Nashorn/Hornisse all the way.

Re: Wingnuts 1/32 Lancasters
TIL Wingnut Wings is owned by Peter Jackson.... I anticipate this thing costing about 500 dollars, which is wayyy more than I am willing to shell out for a kit. I bought the HK one for $280 and that is about the upper limit for what I am willing to spend on a model of any sort. Shame because I would...

Re: 1/32 B-24!
I passed on the HB B-24J pretty much for all the reasons CplSlade mentioned. I found a guy that I could get one for $220 shipped, but even at that price all those inaccuracies are just a deal breaker for me. I opted for the HK Lancaster instead, when eBay had one of its 15% off sales and scored one ...

Re: Flight MH17 downed by Russian SAM
Shame that everyone has known this for so long, and now there is undeniable proof, but nothing will be done. I remember seeing the videos out of the Ukraine when MH17 was downed and just being disgusted with how something like that could occur.

A lot of military personell i have heard think the LT on the Fitzgerald deserves harsher punishment and this guy is getting hit worse since he is an NCO Their logic is probably driven more by misguided angst than actual facts. The OIC on the deck of the USS Fitzgerald during the accident pleaded gu...

WTB FoV 1/32 Stugs - for project
I am looking for your action grade or junk 1/32 FoV stug IIIs. I just need the lower hull, running gear and tracks really, as I plan on mating it with a 21st Panzer III and make a Panzer III ausf K. Thanks everybody. Trying to keep this on the cheap, since it basically fodder for a custom, so the en...
