Re: 1/18 Aircraft wish list? Just for fun.

I would like to see the following built, even though at this point they're far-fetched:

* P-39 Airacobra
* Late Mk Spitfire (IX or XIV)
* LA-5/Yak 9D/Mig 3
* F4F Wildcat
* MC 205 Veltro
* FW 190 A-8

Re: JSI SU-27/J-11

Great scoop WW2birdlover..... :D With that recent showing, we can only hope that JSI still has plans to produce the F-15 at some point. Thanks. I also collect 1/144 planes and tanks and stumbled upon that link on one of the 1/144 blogs I regularly visit. I also hope to see that F-15 a reality, thou...

Re: JSI SU-27/J-11

I sure hope the F-15 isn't really dead. Looks nice from the pic, seems to have better weathering than the cat:

BTW, this is/was (?) currently shown at the 2010 Tokyo Hobby Show, so perhaps it's just a matter of time. At least one can hope.

I can see one of those stock Dora-9s either displayed or boxed at my place :-). At the price they're going for, I just need one paint scheme, that's all. Same goes for the Spitfire.

I just bought a few 21c P40s in the past month or so (both Pearl Harbor and the Langley paint schemes for relatively good prices) on eBay so I think I'll pass. I also have Sky Captain's ride so that makes it 4 (yes, I am one of the few people who liked the movie :-)). Unless JSI adds movable flight ...

Is there a reason for folks preferring a single-seat Su-27? Figures to be purchased? :wink: I like the look of the single seat version more. :wink: I think you're right, even the single-seat F15 looks better than the 2-seater. But, I think we're gonna get the 2 seater versions from JSI since those ...

I read that too. Does that mean JSI is going to release the Su27 first before the Shenyang?

That was just a lame move by BBi! I for one would be down for a Hartmann G-6, black tulip-nosed or not. C'mon, he's the ace of all aces for Christ's sake! I missed out on the Rall G-6 from 21st and would like to own a 109 that flew in the Eastern front, so this would've been the perfect opportunity....

Wow, that's the perfect Easter egg for... Easter!

I scored a Sky Captain P-40 last year for $20 bucks, tho I had to pay $15 for shipping... Still, a very good deal.

I just noticed something: if you look at the paint on the canopy it looks more like the British Dark Green seen on Spits. The rest of the upper surfaces are in Olive Drab.

While my personal preference for Passion Wagon would be without this fillet for variety, it's conceivable that both configurations are correct if this airframe was still in service after the fixit kit became available. I actually feel the same way you do, chunks. As I said in my very first post in ...

BTW, check the "Tieka toys in China Toy Expo" link, you'll see Sallah on the balcony of a Middle Eastern building as well as the sword wielding guy from Raiders with his hands up. :)

1st Post from a lurker

I read all the comments pro and against All-Go's "Passion Wagon" P-51 and I think both sides present valid and strong arguments. IMO a more reasonable price for this repaint is around $60-$75. Should the price remain at $100 a pop, the only way I could buy this plane (I currently don't own any 1:18 ...
