Merit Booth in SDCC 2010

Merit will have a booth at the San Diego Comic Con starting this Thursday. Besides the JSI 1/18 VF-154 with new bomb load and lights feature, we will also have the OURWAR figures there as well. Our booth number is 5029 and we hope to see those who managed to go there. There will only be 30 pieces of...

Wow, I think it is beyond JSI to think their showing of what a modeler can do with 1/18 model aircraft can lead to. This customized model was entered by a modeler at a scale model competition in Hong Kong. JSI borrowed the model to demonstrate the potential of these pre-finished 1/18 airplanes as a ...

Afreg, I agree but at this point I think and the indicators are pointing to "JSI knows best" type of attitude...since they probably see themselves as the only game in town...they can make the rules.....LOL... and with that they will fail. A single seat SU-27 in Russian markings followed by F-15 whi...

Sorry, I am not sure which F-104 you are referring to. Did you mean the JASDF F-104 J on display at Hong Kong Toy Fair? They do have wings with white surfaces facing up. This one my friend... I'm not even sure how they forced the wings in like that without breaking the tabs...lol! http://www.warbir...

It just goes to show that these people have no idea what they are selling! With all the global middle men between concept and production and marketing it's like the telephone game... Somehow they put the F-104's wings on upside down at the last show.... Sorry, I am not sure which F-104 you are refe...

The wheels on the 21st Century P-40 can spin all the way around. These guy that set this up has them turned the wrong way. Nope, look closely.. They have them on wrong.. Lefty is Righty and Righty is Lefty..lol You are right and our bad for not fixing it at the show after getting the sample from th...

Personally, I am not a big fan of heavy weathering. For the longest time, that's the preferred style requested by customers. Perhaps the taste has changed and less weathering is preferred. We have already started to tone down the weathering, if you look at the P-40 with the landing gears incorrectly...

The new 1/18 plane on display at Hong Kong Toy Fair was the J-11 in Chinese marking scheduled for release in this year. JSI also showed the JASDF F-104 with new tail, a Me262 night fighter and a bunch of WWII German Sdkfz 251 new variants. Since there had not been any picture from the show, we have ...

Perhaps there will be a West Side Story-esque brawl between company CEO's at Toy Fair? Yes, I can see the old 21c staff now at All Go raiding the JSI booth and taking back their old toolings in a sort of "We're taking our property back" fashion  But they would leave the spotty F-14 :wink...

Welcome Jim from Merit. Your comments should add just the amount of humor needed to brighten an otherwise dull day. You can start by telling us a story, you know the one about the spotted cat. World tour? Reminds me of an Obama stimulous package. The worst product release in the history of 1:18 air...

No offend taken and thank you for the warm welcome.

The Iranian F14 was entered in a model competition in Hong Kong and now making its "world tour" in different toy fairs.

First of all, we apologize on behalf of JSI for the bad experiences and the breakage problems. All points were reported back to JSI and we had been sending out replacement parts for defectives by taking them from our inventory while we wait for JSI to send us the replacement parts, which are arrivin...

Hello from a Newbie

My name is Jim. While I am from Merit, I share the very same hobby as you all and love military history and models of all scale. While I will remain mostly as an observer, I will occasionally enter my input to help clear any mist and mystery about our company and the companies we represent. Of cours...
