Re: merit Announcment

:D oh great, we're back to the 60's then, so anything from the F100,F104, 105, 106, or A4. Harrier's only have one engine, just four ducts, so it's still a highly unlikely possibility. bah there goes the high hopes I had for something amazing! Why is the Harrier that unlikely? It fits the profile be...

Re: merit Announcment

Well its official, this ordeal has gotten way out of control for me and the remaining level of sanity I still have left. I can't believe I'm going to to share this with you guys but oh what the heck. I had a dream.... In that dream there was two reps apparently from Merit whom I never meet b...

Re: 1/18 Huey B from JSI exclusive for Merit International

Finally picked up one, haven't touched 1/18 scale since the Tomcat fiasco. Mine came with a broken Stab bar on the rotor, still waiting for Merit's reply for a replacement (it's temporarily glued in place). http://imageshack.us/a/img834/6066/huey6.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img189/3811/huey5.jpg ht...

Re: merit Announcment

Wait a minute everyone, don't get disappointed just yet. This F-86 may not be the 1/18 jet Merit is going to announce...... Merit specifically said "all new tooling" regarding the two new 1/18 aircraft they are planning on releasing this year when talking about these projects on their Facebook page...

Re: merit Announcment

JSI just announced that their next is the F-86 Sabre. yawn, There's only a million of these already on the market, and removable gear? bleh. oh info @ batcattoys.com was hoping for something that hasn't been done yet. No worries, this is not the "NEW" JSI jet that we are referring to. "NEW" = All N...

Yes, the gun sight system will be interesting.

The showing of "dull silver" = paint chip effect on purposely put on.

Thank you for your support, it is true that we are almost out of stock on the Huey and the SBD-3 Midway.

Re: merit to release 1/18 Gr.FW-190 A-5 in 2013

190A was a childhood favorite in the old 1/48 Monogram days so I am considering this in 1/18. My decision will be on how the scheme looks. The old Monogram 190 was the first plastic kit I ever built. I put it together fixed the decals and hung it from my ceiling. No paint !! :D It is interesting. T...

Besides better paint decoration, VF-154 Black Knight does have improved main landing gear with lengthen steal core for full length of the landing gear strut. Jim@Merit did say the Coral Sea Dauntless had less weathering because it hadn't seen as much action. Think about it. The first major Naval engagement, plus these planes had just had their upper surfaces painted blue over the solid grey-white they had over all surfaces. Not alot of weathering expect...

Anyone (particularly Jim@Merit) have any insight as to when the S2 scheme is officially coming out? Badcat's website is noting an August release date, but most other retailers are saying December. Well, I can't vouch for the accuracy of the exhaust stains on the model vis-a-vis any real world SBD, but they were certainly more subdued and blurred in the promotional pics, and I certainly liked those better. Accurate or not, they seemed more 'realistic' to me. :? I guess it's just a matter of p...
