Perhaps it could have something to do with air/fuel mixtures at higher altitudes as the air is thinner up higher but I have still seen plenty of pics and videos of Tomcats at higher altitudes "plugging in the blowers" and they're still a bright orange/ white. Mind sharing those photos you're referencing? If anything, maybe a light purple at night but definitely orange most of the time.

That's a really cool concept, it's probably going to look pretty sweet when it's done! A little curious as to why you chose blue, though? Is that going to be the final color or are you painting orange over it?

The FLIR pod on A10 loader's Tomcat is made by JSI and included on the Black Knights F-14 release. He did add a lot of detail to it but he didn't make it.

Yeah, those covers are anywhere from Tan to OD Green to Black, often faded into some sun bleached shade of whatever color it once was.

Nice paint work on the nozzles. I have a set of these nozzles as well as the original Skyworks versions, I'm trying to decide which one I like more.

That's not the right style anyway, those are like the more modern HGU-55 that BBI pilots come with. (but not as good)
