Re: New BBi

It's "new" figures at Target. A mix of old stuff with 2-3 that never made it out of the prototype phase originally:

Re: JSI/Merit BF-109E "Galland" Has Arrived - Here's a Revie

If what I've been told is correct JSI sold at least some of their 21st molds to another company, a certain Xiaohaoshou/Trumpeter. They could be out of the game completely.

I want some mods done before painting, so the project is never gonna get done, unfortunately.

I imagine she'd look aces with your paint on her, though.

That's a really class repaint, flyboy.

Yes, both with and without doors, but I don't think they've been released in years.

Beeavision found these links. You can see the Tiger, as well as Trumpter's 1:16 Tiger II.

Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago

I'm surprised that somebody, on either here or the F118th hasn't found out what it is at least. All we on the 18th have found so far is a couple of shots of the 1:16 Tiger I. Looks like a static display model, the placard said it was serving in the Kurland. Due in December. There were some shots at...

It has a detail level greater than any of the BBI helicopters *Looks at Super Cobra, then at Bbi OH-58D; chuckles* Yeah, moving on. I got a used Super Cobra, and can say honestly that i wouldn't pay much over retail for it, again. It's built from that shoddy plastic 21st loved, and it's not likely ...

Re: Rumor, 21st Century Toys Zero prototype going up on ebay

After all, 21st Century Toys created the 1:18 scale. Debatable. While they may have started accurate military in 1:18, they certainly didn't originate the scale. Wow, just think it could have been 3 3/4 and we'd all be collecting GI Joe. What the hell does that mean? I know i've had a lot more fun ...

Need to clarify, its not a trainer its a J-11 which is a Chinese Copy of the SU-27 its meant to have two seats like the F-14 is meant to have to two seats. It's mission dictates it has a pilot and a backseater. I believe it's a J-11BS, which, as far as i know, has not been accepted into PLAAF servi...

It's very common in the toy/model industry.

It's just as common for people to take pics anyhow.

Best all-around figures are probably Bbi, their failing was the depressingly one-sidedness of their figure output. Dragon probably had the best detailed accessories. I can't say 21st was the best at anything outside of variety. Their BoB stahlhelms were great, the best German helmets produced, unfor...

That said, I think Bbi does the best work that i've personally seen.

Their problem is lack of opposition forces.

I don't think it would be less expensive to produce though as the open tubular frame means that they'd have to mold all the intricate engine details etc. Ideally I'd want the 1/18 frame to be metal since it would be so fragile in plastic that sales of superglue and tiny steel pins would skyrocket d...
