Re: merit Announcment

Couldn't be less excited - Unless, maybe, they were announcing a repainted Mig 15!
Merit, IMO, missed the boat on this one - Don't think sales will impress...
Really curious, though, as to why Merit would choose the F86 for a repaint?

Re: HUEY-Battle Damage??

Just picked mine up from Aiken...My first 1/18 scale Huey!
Looks outstanding, weathering looks really good to me.
Anybody know where I can get a pilot for this bird?

Re: New 1/6 Sherman 105

So I see Badcat also has a prebuilt 1/6 Sherman with a 75MM gun - $799.99! I know it's big, but is it worth that kind of money? Tman & TTT - What level of detail are we talking about? I'm not particularily an armor guy, but I do have a decent collection of 1/32 FOV & 21st...I would really love to ha...

Re: F-14?

After many years of collecting and selling 1/18 aircraft in my opinion there is not a better aircraft then the F14. Detail, Size, beauty, history. Absolutely...Agree 100%. Love the two I have, but not sure I'd buy another one unless someone else comes up with replacement gear like he-who's-name-we-...

Excellent review...Agree 100%...Very pleased with both of my BBI Phantoms - Room for one more on my shelf, but only if it is a camo version!

Re: Is it time for another collection thread?

Awesome collections!
Looks like 1/18th scale is making a revival of sorts - Not like the old days for sure, but with higher prices at least we are seeing better quality, and several new aircraft each year...Hope it continues!

Re: merit to release 1/18 Gr.FW-190 A-5 in 2013

I'm definitely in on this one...Like many of you, the "A" version has always been my favorite & to me, one of the sharpest looking of all WWII fighter aircraft! Price will be what it will be - Paint scheme will be what it will be...Regardless, it's the only way I'll get to ever own an "A" version in...

RBF covers look amazing! Looks like you found an excellent "niche" for your creative skills...I have two sets of your RBF covers for my JSI F14s. Oh yeah, plus four of your F18 stands!

Wow, I was totally unware of 1/6 scale fixed wing aircraft from 21st, prototype or not! Those would have been truly awesome had they moved ahead with them.
The seller appears to be legitimate, based on # of transactions and feedback.

Concerning the new BBI Phantom, this from Badcat:

UPDATE 11/15/2012--This aircraft is due to arrive toward the latter half December. Christmas delivery is unlikely.

OK, my Pegasus prebuilt Bell X-1 appears to be molded in orange plastic...It is quite translucent, and it really shows the inside components (as shadows), with any kind of light behind it...
Orange plastic, or paint?

Re: Corgi 1:32 Mosquito..Help Required

I've got a Corgi 1:32 Mosquito myself. Attaching the landing gear doors is tricky, but not impossible. I'll do my best to describe the process: 1) Lower main gear strut to full extended position 2) Main gear doors (left & right) have a small peg towards the front that inserts into a small hole on e...
