ostketen, I checked out your other post & went to the Great Models webstore...They had 4 or 5 different 1/72 MRC planes & several paint schemes of each...Price was 1/2 what I paid for any of mine.
Thanks for the "heads up"!

That's too bad billgiff...I checked them out on line - Looks like they are based in Oklahoma City...They've got a couple of stores in PA. Fortunately, they have a bunch of stores in TN, I think there are several in Memphis alone (not to make you feel bad). Look, you can order on line - Looks like th...

I got into the MRC planes a couple of years ago and collected 20 or so in a year's time...They offer really good detail, especially for the price. I got most of mine at Hobbytown stores, but I have noticed Hobby Lobby carries them as well, and when they run a 25% or 40% coupon, they are a real steal...

Seriously, check out your local Hobby Lobby...They retail them from $99.00 to $119.00 (depends on area I guess). But, the best part is, you can go to their website & join to get coupons via email & here's why that is great news: 1.) I bought my first 4D Vision from MTS for $149.00 plus $15.00 shippi...

What's wrong with this picture?
Looks like the landing gear on this JSI P40 (prototype?) is backwards! (Picture from Merit website of the 2010 American International Toy Fair)

Welcome to the forum, Jim...Jason has been a class act from day one and you do have big shoes to fill! You can garner a great deal of useful feedback from this forum - However, patience and a thick skin are required...Most the members here really love the 1/18 scale in particular, aircraft or armour...

I'm definitely on the "Welcome Jim" team, and look forward to having another industry "insider" to help keep us up on new develpments in the 1/18 scale! Guess you detected some hard feelings with your initial post, but hopefully those will abate with time, and we members can benefit from your input....

thatf14guy, that black paint looks awesome! I have a second F14 still in the box, it's the Special Edition version, and I want to have it repainted in something other that the original JSI scheme...Everytime I see a new paint scheme I want it - Since I am "paint skill impaired" (or whatever), I am g...

Well, I couldn't resist it...I got a 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby's website and bought the one 4D F14 they had for $99.99 less 40% (net $59.99!!!) Why did I buy a second one? Well it is a beautiful, highly detailed 1/32 model for certain, and maybe I'll get a repaint done on it, or maybe I'll sel...

Just some final comments on JSI's F14, from my own personal perspective. Now that most of the "dust" has settled, and I am able to reflect on what many of us went through to get our F14's "fixed", here are my thoughts: As I look over at my F14, sitting proudy on my somewhat inaccurate but functional...

Looks like local Memphis TRU is closing out there FOV 1/32 & 1//18 "Action Series" vehicles...Picked up a 1/32 German Elefant for $19.99 (marked down from $25.99)...The 1/18 vehicles were also reduced, altough I don't remember the price. I know these aren't quite as nice as the "Enthusiast Series", ...

Well, found a 4D Vision F14 at Hobby Lobby, in Memphis, today for $99.99...I paid $149.00 at MTS and now they are up to $159.00! My bad, I know, I got anxious...I could have even gotten it at Historical Aviation for $119.00. As I said earlier, and many have agreed, this is an outstanding model, in m...
