I heard somewhere that bdu's weren't allowed to be worn by civilians at airports. I take it that has more to do with national security then the Stolen Valor Act.

Isn't there a law for impersonating a solder? I do know its illegal to impersonate a cop. I guess it all depends on how far you take it.

I still remember when the A-10 prototype was offered at a starting bid of $6000.00 on ebay by marshall1146 back in April of 2010.

Here's a photo of the canopy closeup completely folded opened. The pilot sits to the left of the photo while the gunner sits to the right.

This 3D rendering/animation will show many aspects of the SBD. I've currently cued it up where the canopy in the rear swivels back into place while the gun drops below.

These were other pictures taken of the old prototype of the SBD-2 Dauntless from Admiral toys.

Well this is as far as the others have gotten on this particular aircraft. Once I see a fully painted model along with the box then I'll start clearing a space in my man cave for it. Hope the third time's the charm.

It turns out Badcat toys has a contact whose currently in China right now gathering more intel on the 1:18 SBD.

I was looking at that auction earlier as well. I would of bid for it if it weren't for Badcat's reduced Putt Putt Maru model with free shipping & an additional 5% off. I would of loved to have acquired the California Cutie but I haven't seen one less then $150-$200 as of yet.

Actually this is a SBD-3 Dauntless. The one Admiral was working on was a SBD-2. I wonder what the difference is.
