Re: roll call any groundpounders? left?
Like others, I don't remember exactly when I discovered the previous board, probably just after getting the 1:18 21st Century Sherman at Toys R Us...very early 2000's is best guess. I went by Jagdplastic. I changed to the current moniker with the new board format. Checking back at least weekly, ofte...

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I've been hoping someone would produce the Sd.Kfz. 250 halftrack series. Many chances for repaints and variants, plus there are several interchangeable parts from the Sd.Kfz. 251 series that could be incorporated.

As in "nebelwerfer"? Nope. Would be interesting though, if done correctly and, as others have said, with a well-sculpted crew.[CAT]CplSlade wrote:Does it start with an N?

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
I still have yet to get the KRUPP TRUCK, so in a way that worked out, at least it'll come with a gun. Lame-ass re-paints don't count, unless they include NEW FIGURES in GOOD poses. I'm mostly of the same opinion. I want the Krupp Truck, but in a camo scheme and I was really hoping they'd make one, ...

Re: NEW FORCES of VALOR 2013 PREDICTIONS
Look for catalogue pictures of the 2013 Unimax FOV releases at http://www.themotorpool.net To make myself clearer, The Motorpool website has Unimax FOV catalogue pictures of the 2013 offerings. They are located in the various sections of that website, i.e. Combat Vehicles, etc. I didn't know they a...

Re: Can you ID this tiger?????
Appears to be Tiger 211 of the s.SS-Panzer-Abteilung 102 in Normandy. There are pictures of this tank in the book Tiger I on the Western Front by Jean Restayn. The staggered outline numerals are characteristic of this unit.

Re: Lindberg Model Kits at Tuesday Morning
Another Tuesday Morning in my area had some of the same Lindberg kits plus a 1/72 8-ton Sd. Kfz. 7/1 half track. The same bad figures as the others, but the half track body and running gear look pretty good for $4.99. It comes with decals for 5th SS Panzer "Wiking" and 21st Panzer, no DAK palms, how...

Lindberg Model Kits at Tuesday Morning
I got a 1/72 Schwimmwagen/kettenkrad combo kit and two 1/35 Sd. Kfz 222 kits today from Tuesday Morning for $4.99 each. They also had a Scharnhorst kit, a Corsair, and some modern jet fighter kits there. I needed some wheels/tires to convert one of the 21st Century Maultiers into a standard wheeled ...

Just About Priced Me Out of the 1:72 Scale Market
Well, with Hobby Master 1:72 ground offerings approaching the $35-40 mark and Dragon 1:72 ground offerings approaching the $30-35 mark it's about time to bid adieu to buying any of those products not on sale.

Surprisingly, Dragon has only released the one Panther F as you mentioned. I would love to see a new F version with this late war scheme.

Dragon Armor 1:72 Late War Panther
I've been waiting for this little beauty to show up. We don't see many very late war paint schemes.

Re: questions --Dragon German tanks
Dragon Tiger 242 was the assistant commander's tank of the 2nd company of schwer-SS-Panzer-Abteilung 102, not a Heer unit as the description for the model indicates. The company commander's tank was 241. I've not been able to discover the name of 242's commander, however. My sources indicate that al...

Re: FOV 1/32 Panthers
I don't think that 21st, FOV 1:32, or Dragon 1:35 have hit a homerun with either of their Panthers to date. Specifically, the FOV Panther seems a bit too large, being too wide and a bit too long. If you turn the mantlet over and re-install it correctly the gap between the underside and the hull top ...

Re: BBI Hartmann Bf109G Scheduled for October 2011
This could be kinda fun going back and forth on the differences between the F's and G's so here goes... My sources state that the 109F series had rounded wheel wells whereas the 109G series reverted to the squared off wheel wells of the 109E series. Doors were to have been added on the open section ...

Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
I, too, was excited about the 1/16 Panzer that they initially were advertizing, but the release of yet another Tiger reminds me of the "Trouble with Tribbles" episode in the first Star Trek series. A "Trouble with Tigers" situation if you will. Way, way too many of them.

Re: FOV M3 Lee "Kentucky"?
I believe that there is a M3 in the Patton Armor Museum at Fort Knox, KY named "Kentucky". If you Google for it, I'm sure you can find a picture and can compare markings.
