Not if it's the Strike Eagle

I'm thinking F-22 if it is a single seater

WANTED: 1/6 Dragon F-15E Pilot Glenn "Wolfman" Powers

Hey guys, If anybody is willing to part with their 1/6 Dragon F-15E pilot Wolfman Powers, I'd be interested. I prefer mint in box, but if you have one at all, I'll check out your offer. I have 100% feedback on eBay, which I'll link you to my account if you have the figure. You can send me a PM, or a...

Re: My 1/18 F-14 Display (ONGOING)

Nah, nice though. Think 1967. Think this http://static-jpeg.sport-prestige.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Ferrari-265-GTB-1967-2.jpg Kinda blend of Corvette, Ferrari, and 240Z rolled into one. Hello, I have seen a red 275, which is quite similar, at a few local shows. It does have a beatiful shape!...

Re: My 1/18 F-14 Display (ONGOING)

Those pictures help immensely. I've been looking at my Cat, and I couldn't figure out all of the bumps you were referencing, but now I see. I would like to compile a list of modifications for each scheme I am thinking about, please help me correct this list. Note, I will probably leave the vents and...

Re: My 1/18 F-14 Display (ONGOING)

@ Black Lion and VM115- It is pretty crazy what those movie producers will do for a shot. @ Black Lion- That is a heck of a bit of useful info, thanks for taking the time to write it all out for us. I will probably do the simpler modifications depending on whichever scheme I go with. I'll sand away ...

That's awesome! Never knew about that!
However, if I remember the scene correctly, shouldn't the plane only have one kill marking? Guess two looks better :)

I would go with whatever scheme YOU like the best. The carrier diorama sounds like a great idea. Would love to see some pics when you have it done. 1. Yes, same Jolly Rogers as JSI attempted. 2. Yes, that Black Aces scheme, love it! http://www.badcattoys.com/fvfblac1cewi.html 3. I was thinking the glossy black Playboy. This scheme- http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/military/f14tomcat/f_14_tomcat_9.jpg I like accuracy, but I am honestly no...

My 1/18 F-14 Display (UPDATED FEB 21 2011)

After I got my F-14 (thanks bigsarge!) over the holidays, I knew I wasn't going to just set the monster on a desk. (Or hang it up either for that matter!) I knew I had to make some kind of display for it. So I decided I was going to make a carrier deck section. One side of the foamboard is going to ...

Yeh, they were supposed to make deck crew, but as with everything about JSI, who knows? We just have to make our own for now :|
Thanks again

There's about 10 sitting on top of display cases at the Wings of Freedom museum in Willow Grove, PA. P-38, Huey and FA-18 are what I can remember.

1/18 Carrier Deck Crew?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anybody ever custom made modern carrier deck crew? I was wondering what figure would be good to base crew off of. I know the deck crew wear helmets with goggles and headphones. I also know they have little gear other than a vest.
Thanks

Re: where to buy large sheets of foamcore?

hm, that's pretty interesting. I was wanting to find some black foamcore myself. Is the foam itself black too or just the paper covering the foam? How thick is it? You don't happen to know if they had a dark blue foam core do you? I was going to make some WWII carrier deck. My only concern about us...

Re: where to buy large sheets of foamcore?

Well I went to Michael's today. I got a 40 x 60 sheet from the people doing framing, so I can work with it. They cut it down to 40 x 48 so it would fit in the car! Another inch and it wouldn't have. I can glue a 8" by 48" piece on if I want. It should make a nice carrier deck...

Re: where to buy large sheets of foamcore?

normandy- I saw that website, but you can only buy in mass. I only want 1 or 2 sheets. Even for products like this- http://www.foamcoreheaven.com/48x96x3blulb.html which would work for me, I would have to buy 3. Matter of fact, I have yet to see it online not in mass. When I bought some 24x36 sheets...

Re: RC Plane Talk

Thanks again aferg. The Stallion looks pretty good. I guess I did not realize how much work there would be though. Also, I realize the materials making up some of these, but some of these R/C aircraft look way off from the real thing. Are you aware of a Sea King that is about accurate in size? Thanks
