Re: RC Plane Talk

http://www.tech-mp.com/twinn_rexx.htm these have been for sale for about a year now. Email directly and find out the current price and shipping costs. You can buy just the body kit, without any of the r/c stuff. You will have to make your own rotors and rotor hubs though.....but that's true of any ...

there is also another chinook, that is 1/22, around 27 inches long iirc. You can buy just the airframe and it's under $100 shipped. It's made from thin clear plastic.
Do you have a link to this?
Thanks

Re: RC Plane Talk

Thanks aferg :)

It seems pretty surprising to me that nobody has done a Chinook. It's been around for 40+ years, still in use, and it's a well known helo.

There is a Gemini Jets model in 1/200, and a Minicraft kit in 1/144. There may be more, but I just did a quick Google for you.

Inaccurate it may be, but I think the IDF/IAF Avia looks really cool, and as previously mentioned is extreme irony (Thankfully!)

Have to say the Yellow 7, though I may be a bit biased, as I saw the real thing in DC.
I like the detail on it a lot, but the landing gear doors broke off in 2 minutes.

Very sad! It is a shame that base is closing/not having aircraft. I love looking up at the sky and seeing a C-130, or a Super Stallion once in a while, but soon that will be limited to just air shows.

Saturn V. About 20 feet tall in 1/18. But really the B-17. It has been talked about for quite a while, and I have no doubts that it would be the most popular of the 'holy grails' But unless it was mass produced, there would be no way that I could afford it. Pickelhaube, Skyworks and others do fantas...

Tips for beginning airbrusher

After essentially completing my first 3 1/48 scale aircraft models, I am realizing the limits of brush painting. I am also realizing that I will be making quite a few more models. So, the idea of an airbrush has come up in my head recently. Also, the room I use for brush painting will not be empty a...

Thanks guys!
Panzer, see my new Bf-109 post for what I did for weathering. For my next model that I started already (after the one in the new post) I used Tamiya light gray spray primer.
Thanks

My second model build- 1/48 Pegasus Bf-109 (Complete!)

Well, my second model ever is complete. I really enjoyed this build as it had a bit more color in it than the Zero. I painted it in layers which helped immensely. First the light blue, then the gray violet, then the black green. This time I dipped each part, well submerged each in Future Floor polis...

I think your Zero is too dark because you used IJN grey instead of IJN light grey. Also, decals will go on better with a glossy coat of paint, which you can then cover with a flat clear coat to reduce the shiny edges of the decals. Hope these pointers help for next time... Hi, sorry I haven't respo...

I have been a bad boy. Like always, my attempts to keep updating things have failed. I am finished with the Zero model. It was very enjoyable building it, especially since it was my first model. I enjoyed working on it in bits and pieces and snapping it together to see how far I had gotten. I have a...

I would still be interested, but it really depends on the price. $65 is way too much for something that looks like no more than about 10 parts.
