Re: 1/18 Huey B from JSI exclusive for Merit International

Finally picked up one, haven't touched 1/18 scale since the Tomcat fiasco. Mine came with a broken Stab bar on the rotor, still waiting for Merit's reply for a replacement (it's temporarily glued in place). http://imageshack.us/a/img834/6066/huey6.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img189/3811/huey5.jpg htt...

Why can't or why did Allgo not pursue legal action to prohibit retailers from carrying these 'chinese counterfeits'?

The reissued P-40 at Toysrus in '08. Last aircraft before I gave up on 21st. Sad to see these 'detailed' planes shift from mass retail to specialty shops.

Yeap, I wasn't expecting anymore than $100 for this one. I would have no qualms paying $160 for a Hind.

Ah man, was really tempted to pick this one up if it weren't for the the few nitpicks: shark mouth stickers, carrying handle, no cockpit glass.

Exactly the same reason why I sold my Wolfpack. Looks good a few feet away, but up close, not so good. Very dull on details with the weapons and landing gear.

Re: BBI F-16 price increase

A few years later they were at Target and really cheap, can't remember the price but it was low. They were $55 bucks a pop, before shipping. That would have been about three or four years ago, I think. Jeffrey Right around December 2007. I didn't pick one up from Target because $50ish was still pre...

If 1/18 dies, it will be for the same reason that many similar product lines die - hoarders! Hoarders were the least bit of the problem in this hobby. I know it is a consistent issue with other collectibles, but not 1/18 planes. I was always able to find what I needed in retail...and much more. It ...
