I have been doing other things to scratch my collecting itch lately (collecting vintage hockey jerseys). The lack of anything new in 1/18th scale has really lessened my interest. Plus, I'm just about out of storage space. I've been considering selling off a good portion of my collection for about th...

Guys, Let me be clear about the broken English comment. I have no problem with broken English. I understand that some of our board members do not speak English as their primary language. They do their best to speak English so that they can participate in this forum. My concern was the combination of...

Nope. I've just gotten enough phishing e-mails in bad English asking me to send them money in return for something and craigslist scam replies in bad or broken English asking for me to send them money that I naturally get suspicious when I see somebody asking for money in broken English. How do we k...

Is this legit? The bad and broken English makes me suspicious. Plus this member hasn't even been on the board for the required 6 months for BST.

Looks excellent, nice work! Thanks for posting pics of a finished kit. I've been on the fence about whether to get one of these. How sturdy is the finished kit? Does the landing gear retract?

These guys have got you going on the right path. The only thing I do differently is I go buy a 1/48 or 1/32 set of decals for the markings I want. I scan them into the computer and enlarge them to 1/18 and then print them on the decal paper. The rest of the process is the same as what the other memb...

What did you use to make the second canopy and cockpit for the radar observer? It came out pretty nice.

Loved that! I didn't know James May had another show. I thought he was only on Top Gear (which is also a great show whether you like cars or not).

Your Millie P looks great. I did this same scheme a while back because I really like the half natural metal half olive drab scheme. I also used an Old Crow to start with just to aid in doing the checkers on the nose. Sounds like great minds think alike :) Nice job.

Digimatt, I wouldn't think that adding the decal to the P-38 would really increase the value much, if at all. As for enhancing the weathering, I would just leave it alone. If you added weathering, then you are kind of on the edge of a mild custom instead of an original toy. That might turn off some ...

TKO, My Hellcat has all of the same problems that yours does. The landing gear problem and the horrible wing fit/sag drive me nuts. I had to coax the gear forward far enought to keep the plane up for the pictures. It still fell down about ten times though. It is a shame since its the only Hellcat we...
