Re: 1/16 tanks
Just got around to opening my Merit 1:16 T-34 and discovered they sent me the Tiger I on accident. But, the Tiger looks so good I decided to keep it and asked them to just send me a T-34 as new order. Sure looks like I may wind up in 1:16 scale ;-) Still havent opened the USS Hornet yet, figure it ...

Interesting! Anyone interested in what I guess you would have to call a one off prototype tank?

As best as I can tell, this company is still currently in business. Some interesting conversions. A bit pricey, but a couple I would like to have.

Re: 1/16 tanks
do you guys know the best place to get the Ostwind and Wirblewind conversion kits for 1/16 Mk IV's?? To the best of my knowledge, there are not any conversion kits of this type in 1/16. I search the 1/16 RC listings on ebay just about every day and have never seen any there or on any of the RC vehi...

Re: 1/16 tanks
Got my Porsche-turret King Tiger yesterday... Now I see what all the rave is about the R/C 1:16 tanks :D They're not quite 1:18 and certainly the tank doesn't have all the opening hatches, etc that my 1:18 Tigers and Panzers do - but otherwise, its a pretty accurate tooling, it moves realistically,...

Re: Unfinished projects
In my case, its not a case of abandoning a project, its the number that I start before finishing one. I have a 1/16 DAK Tiger project that I first started and posted about here in the mods section 3 years ago. Still piddling with it. I have two of pickelhaube's kits that have lain unstarted for mont...

http://images.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/326026/Hf10146.jpg Is there a kit to make the night fighting Panther in 1/16??? Absolutely! Thats the great thing about 1/16. There is very little you cannot get in the way of accessories. I'll have to do a little research to come up with where I got it. H...

sturmtiger is out of production right now. It will probably be back within a year or so. the WSN t-34's seem to be drying up. If you're keen on one i wouldn't delay as i don't know if they'll be back or not. here's one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WSN-Trumpeter-1-16-T-34-85-Tank-/280782355722?pt=Diecas...

I have bought a couple of tanks from mideatoys and so far have not found any dealer with better prices on the mato and subsidiary company tanks. Doesn't Bad Cat proof read their ads?
Couple of weeks ago it was the wrong price on the 1/18 Tiger. I read their e-mail this morning and it shows a 1/32 Me-109 for $21.99. Won't say what I think about the price or I will get called a Wal-Mart shopper, but when I opened the link it turns out its a 1/72 scale and not 1/32 as the e-mail st...

Re: Tamiya Spray Lacquer
There is an online hobby store in Missouri that has a pretty good selection of Tamiya rattle cans in stock. Try http://www.hobby1.com. Like any store, there are some colors that are out of stock, but they have much more in stock than out of stock. I repaint lots of models in DAK and really like Mode...

So just out of curiosity, but are 1:16 KT's available for a good price anywhere right now? I've not really seen any, but I'm interested as maybe a self-bought XMas gift. :) Plenty of them on ebay and online sights. Guess it depends on what you consider a good price. $169 plus $35 shipping is the be...

He should have to sell it for his advertised price!!!! I looked at it but had to run to the convenience store and was going to order when I got back so I didn't hit the order button. A few minutes of false hope.

That price is more like it for the Merit Tiger!
Bad Cat's new email states his price for the 1/16 static Tiger is $65. Considering his prices are generally on the high end, it should be in the $55-$60 range from other vendors. Thats a great price if its any where near as nice as the last tiger released by JSI which is around $70. Great news for t...

Re: Merit 1:16 Tiger I, Kurland, Eastern Front,
I have a couple of the WSN T-34s but I don't have a WSN Tiger so I can't compare one to the Heng Long Tigers I have. The WSN Tigers seem to run around $30 higher on average than HL's. Just from photos I don't see much difference, but I guess there could be differences in the electronics. The RC Heng...

Don't all space suits look the same? Not at all. Just in the main line of the the US space program you've got: X-15 - 1 Mercury - 1 Gemini - 3 (basic, EVA, and GT7 long-duration suit) Apollo - 6 (shirtsleeves, launch/recovery, orbital EVA, 1st lunar, 2d lunar, Skylab EVA) Shuttle - 5 (shirtsleeves,...

Re: Dragon to issue new 1/18 Space figures
Don't all space suits look the same? I mean, collect what you like, but why do you need 27 suited figures that look exactly alike. What am I missing? I don't get it. Space craft, maybe, but identical figures, no! Even with removable helmets and different heads, they will still all be the same once y...

1/18 figure data base?
Anyone know of a 1/18 figure data base, primarily 21st, that has photos of each release? I try to keep an inventory of everything that I have. I ran across a bunch of loose figures I had stashed away in ziploc bags. Some I have identified from ebay, but there are some I would like to find out the ac...
