Re: Any 1/72-ish Navy Seal Zodiac type boats?

Surprisingly I found it in the first place I looked, its been sitting in the bottom of the spares box for 30 some years, the boat was never painted and the plastic is showing signs of deterioration through age and exposure to other plastics, but is more or less in good nick. https://scontent-lax1-1....

Re: 1/18 Stuka Decals Wanted

G'day Corey Some time back I produced complete Stuka decal sets, so from that I now that a ~30mm Hakenkreuz is what you need for the Ju87. Now it just so happens that we had our annual model expo here in Melbourne Australia over the weekend and I spied some high quality Hakenkreuz sets in large scal...

WTB or swap 21stCT 1/18 Bunker Hill F4U Corsair

G'day All I have been looking into a re-focus of my 1/18 collection, to this end I wish to acquire a 21stCT 1/18 Bunker Hill F4U Corsair, this item would not require to be a MIB example as I do plan to put out on display. In line with this re-focus I need to trim down my collection and plan to retir...

Re: JSI Merit ME-262 "Edelweiss" 1:18

G’day All Sadly I’ve been MIA for quite a while, although I have been sniffing around the edges of the site from time to time my 1/18th collecting has been very limited. Anyway I finally decided to get a copy of Rotte Bruno (or its that Rotte Berta) which is way, way expensive down here by the way. ...

Is the model in the photos an actual 1:18 plane, or just a 1:48 paint demo? -Ski Ski I had been thinking along the same lines, and after some close scrutiny of the published images and comparing these to images on the net I'd hazard a guess that the model may be that of the Tamiya 1/48 scale kit, a...

G'day Jason Nice one! Glad to see that you've (apparently) chosen to start with the Fighter Bomber variant. Should also be a big seller in all the Commonwealth countries that supplied so many pilots and navigators to fly these for the RAF. I'd love to someday see an aircraft in the markings of Group...

For the best results I highly recommend that you re-create all the graphics in a vector based program such as Illustrator (AI) which is my product of choice or you can also use CorelDraw. Vector images are also infinitely scalable and there are no issues of fuzzies of which you speak, in short vecto...

Re: Admiral?

My local Hobbytown USA store has two "Mitch's Squitch" F-86s left. They are in the $60-$70 USD price range. G'day T-man Looks like I may have picked one up on eBay for US$39 (excluding shipping) as long as everything goes through right. Don't forget the different Admiral Toys F-86 schemes. And didn...

JOC PM returned. ExC17load Don’t get me wrong the "Huff" is a great looking and striking piece of artwork, however I personally (with some JV44 exceptions) prefer the more mundane or generic schemes as I am usually thinking about possible custom options and the “Mitch’s Squitch” version would requir...

G'day ExC17load Thanks for the info. If "Mitch's Squitch" and the "Huff" are my only F-86F options, then I may just have to re-think the "Huff as a possible second preference after all, I guess something is better than nothing and I could always re-paint a “Huff” to something I like if worst comes t...

Wanted! F-86F Mitch's Squitch

G’day All I know that this is a long shot and quite possibly unlikely, but is there a 21stCT F-86F “Mitch's Squitch” a out there for sale! (I would consider a “Mig Mad Mavis” if no luck with the above as a second preference, however just not that interested in the “Huff”) Please let me know directly...

Why don’t they make my favourite plane?

Why don’t they make my favourite plane? (or just an aimless semi-related rambles) For the N’th time I have had to re-adjust my (main) 1/18th aircraft display to accommodate a new arrival (well two to be precise) and it got thinking, the majority of the great unwashed, those that do not possess the s...

G'day Snake Next time you're after one of the an Australian release, give me a bell (PM) first and I'll see if I can track one down for you here locally. The FA-18’s high asking price down here (like most 1/18) makes them quite slow movers. I'm pretty sure that one of the vendors at the recent by-an...

According to Mega Modelmart down under who commissioned the RAAF Hornets and Mustangs only 250 of each were produced therefore it's collectible, pure mother nature. Is it worth it? To some but not to all. To say as point of fact that it's not is purely ones opinion and not the precedent for the res...
