I pretty much agree with you NW on your review except the paint on mine (save the spots) was pretty good with few flaws. I only had fit issues around the glove vanes. Overall I was pretty pleased but feel that for the cost, QC should have been a lot tighter.

Now that I've had the chance to spend some more time with my F-14 over the past couple of days, I keep feeling more and more positive about the plane. The detail and sculpting are fantastic... One can spend all day looking over the plane and taking it all in. I'm also developing a more positive opi...

I think if the F-14 sells well in the long run then yes the F-15 will follow. Hopefully, JSI will use its lessons learned to make it even better then the F-14.

I doubt if they are all of a sudden quit making more 1/18 aircraft or discontinue the F-14 line. So far it seems even with spots the plane is a success.

I found one as well and couldn't figure what it was for since everything on my plane worked fine. I'm assuming its just something to hold another something in place while its in the box.

Last time I saw one in action was at the NTC in 1999. Ft. Lewis has a static one up here at the museum from 2nd ACR.
I've seen that one as well, very cool.

Did anyone here from Texas order from Badcat? I called and they said mine shipped this morning but they have not given me a tracking # so I am trying to guess when it will arrive. I am assuming between Friday and Tuesday so if anyone else knows when theirs is coming that would help me out. Thanks i...

especially on the operation of the landing gear. The landing gear can be tricky to deploy if you aren't patient. Is it worse than the P-38s gear? I always found the P-38 gear to be hard as heck to get out, and always afraid I'm going to break it... With no instructions its hard to tell how to deplo...

The Bad, The Awful Weathering, lack of clear instructions especially on the operation of the landing gear. The landing gear can be tricky to deploy if you aren't patient. There are some fit issues around the engine intake areas but they are easily rectified. On the special edition, the lights are no...

The Good,

Very impressive size, loads of features and great load out of weapons. As far as everything else goes aside from the paint a good first effort for JSI on this subject.

Here’s my disclaimer: This is a highly detailed, well designed and extremely poorly painted aircraft with large dark grey spots all over it. From a distance, about 10 to 15 feet away, it’s not all that bad. Your plane may have lighter spots like the one shown above but expect most of them to be dar...

To those of you who have bought the JSI re-releases of the 21st Molds do they still have 21st Century Toys Stamped on them somewhere? Usually its on the bottom of the aircraft.

If you can't live with the spots then I say don't get it. They are very distracting. But overall I think the plane is great because of the features it does have. I don't regret my purchase. I just wish I could afford another.

Has this forum lost its way? YOU BE THE JUDGE!

Listening to, and thinking about the debate that has raged over the past month I've begun to wonder if the manufacturers, retailers and the general powers to be take this board seriously anymore. I think we need to look at ourselves as members and ask how are we presenting ourselves? Do we want to b...

I have never told anyone to not buy it if they want to get it...go for it. I have simply been saying that it's not ok for people to make excuses for it because that will only condone sloppy work now and in future. Many on here are afraid that JSI will get mad and not make more planes....pure nonsen...
