Re: It's been awhile since I've posted anything, but I thought some might fine this interesting, schrol down to the 109e

Interesting that a major kit manufacturer would do a 1/18 aircraft. Not a scale that I have seen in kits before, but I haven't been keeping up on that side of things. Perhaps this is a case where 21 Century, BBI, and JSI have created a niche scale, and with a lack of any new releases, HobbyBoss are ...

Re: 1/18 FW 190A - BACK OPEN

Glad to see that the FW 190 A has finally been produced. That took a long time, and was having serious doubts about whether it would ever get past the teaser stage. Not sure why they wouldn't release in the US, as easily the biggest market for 1/18. Does look pretty good, and much better than the so...

Re: Dragon Armor 1/35 Tiger Tank & Diorama Base

Think the Dragon 1/35 is an awesome line, but the scale is its demise. As has been argued in the past, between FoV 1/32, and Dragon 1/35, pluses, and minus's for both. Biggest problem for the Dragon 1/35 is it's scale. Simply doesn't realisticly display with the "standard" 1/32. Fortunately, not an ...

Good to see that we are still talking about Skyworks.

Re: Crazy prices

Those 1/18 prices are crazy  But if you consider no one will be making these very large, and unique models anymore, can see the prices going up. Way up. We all know the models were under priced from the get go. By quite some bit. Don't agree with the prices listed in this thread, but supply a...

Re: Canadian Collection

That would be the one to get cnq. But HM has done quite a few Canadian Sabres, some with very attractive schemes.
I have both the Corgi and HM Golden Hawks Sabre, and the HM is quite a bit better, as the Corgi is an old mold.

HM has done quite a number of Canadiam schemes, and they do seem to do quite well internationally.

Sorry to see Diecast Hangar Pub go. :( While many reported it having issues, I never had any myself, but could tell the frustration factor was getting bigger and bigger. And would like to thank JP for setting it up in the first place, after Model Hangar I, and II both also went under, for different ...

Think a decent 1/72 SM-79 would do quite well in diecast. Know it is on a lot of peoples wish lists.

Re: How big should 1/18 scale aircraft get?

Think the JSI 1/18 Tomcat is as large as you could resonably go. Most people just don't have the room for anything larger than that. Even the P-38 and Avenger are already pushing the limits, in my opinion. When you have a model that is 3 feet long/ wingspan, potential customers are far fewer than 1/...

Wow, this is an old thread, resurrected. :D

Always been a big fan of the BBI Vipers and Hornets, and although the F-16 is slightly oversized, you wouldn't notice unless you display it side by side with the Hornet.

I wonder if we will see another F-16, or F-18 from BBI ?

Re: BBI 1/18 Hartmann Bf109G on sale at the Mule!!

I know the dump/sale of the BBI models is due to BBI itself wanting to loose inventory. My local hobby store also has all the said BBI models in stock at the moment for comparatively low prices. I have to agree with dragon53 that I have no idea what this means and personally feel it does not bode w...

Not a big armour guy, and only have a Tiger in 1/18.

Stuart seems like an odd choice, but can see it for those that have the other more mainstream tanks.

Not really for me, but again, I am more of a 1/32, 1/35 armour guy.

Re: Any Scoop on the new 1/18th Scale Harrier...?

I must be getting too old. I can't see $200 plus for a plastic toy airplane. $150? maybe. Well, if you think of it as a plastic toy airplane, why even pay more than $49.99 for it. It's not, and although the price seems a bit high, check what other models are going for these days. Really not a bad d...
