9SFG(A) - HMMWV mods
Here are a couple more HMMWV's I did earlier this year, in case anyone missed them: M998 (Hard top) - Added "hillbilly" armor to the sides, weathered etc. Inspiration: http://www.fighting118th.com/forums-content/9SFGA/m998-01.jpg http://www.fighting118th.com/forums-content/9SFGA/9SFGA-M998A-01.jpg h...

Re: 9SFG(A) - Combat Patrol Diorama
It wasn't as hard as it sounds, usually they come with a couple attached to each other, so you just have to mix and match and paint it all the same color
I just got back into customs about 2 months ago, and I've come a long way!
Thanks for the kind words

Re: 9SFG(A) - Combat Patrol Diorama
Thanks everyone It was a fun little project.. I wish I had more space though! I don't know how to fit in different stuff.. we shall see what I can come up with!
The vests are GI JOE "Pit Commando" vests.. I trimmed them and then attached BBI/21C/FOV pouches/gear to them.

9SFG(A) - Combat Patrol Diorama
So I finally decided I'd try my hand at a Dio... http://www.fighting118th.com/forums-content/9SFGA/dio-01.jpg It's nothing super elaborate or anything compared to what I've seen you guys do, but it's a start! Thanks for reading/looking :) Combat Controllers "Pathfinder" and "Dropzone" track enemy mo...

Re: ثعبان - Type-98 Prototype
Thank you.. It still needs work, and my black backdrop didn't fit the tank so I need to work on that too! And yes it's bit of the story I am making up to go with a 'set' of customs I am working on (The Fictional 9th Special Forces Group), and this is the first 'bad guy' thing I managed to make. Wish...

ثعبان - Type-98 Prototype
عبان is Arabic for 'snake' and will be incorporated into my 9th Special Forces Group (Airborne) stories and customs as an al-Qaeda aligned group operating in Afghanistan in 2001/2002 and across the world... Re: 9SFG(A) - Special Operations HMMWV (pic heavy)
Thanks everyone!
It was a surprising amount of work, but it was a lot of fun. I had to improvise some, since the picture didn't show the complete package

9SFG(A) - Special Operations HMMWV (pic heavy)
So I've done a bunch of other HMMWV models, and during research I saw a photo of a "spec ops" type HMMWV and knew I wanted to make it, but I knew it'd be a LOT of work, so I started last weekend and finally finished.. Here is my M1025 "Special Operations" HMMWV. It is based on the 21st Century Toys ...

Re: POST ALL TOY FAIR DISCUSSION HERE
I think ToyFair goes for another couple days during the week, so it's possible whatever is coming just hasn't announced yet.
Maybe they didn't want to get lost in the Hasbro news deluge.

I've got no idea as to their financial situation.. again.. China is a very different beast as far as markets and business goes. They appear to be going strong and have the capital and willingness to keep moving forward with the scale, so that's good, but like anything, here today.. gone tomorrow. Th...

Hi NSA, The "Final" Ourwar sets you've mentioned, are they different from the set of 7 released earlier? Any updates on the JSI carrier flight deck crew and vehicles? Thanks :D I'm not sure, I assume it's the same basic figures, some of the packaging labeling has been changed (Says for Ages 15+ now...

Well, JSI is (obviously) a Chinese-based toy company, compared to 21st. This comes with its plus's and minuses (as we've all seen). They obviously have quicker, better, and cheaper access to the factories and labor in China, and can get things done in a relatively quick/normal time frame. However, t...

Also.. RE: Badcat.. I dont know if they went to SDCC or not, but I dont know if they've seen the new plane + gears first hand or not either. The 30 they had for sale at SDCC are final molds, so I was told, so theoretically they should be exactly the same (sans weapons) as the ones Badcat is preorder...

NSA: A couple of months ago, a poster said he heard from Badcat that the next JSI F-14 would be a VF-111 "Sundowners" and that Badcat was probably going to drop JSI jets. Also, someone posted the new VF-154 F-14 had improved landing gear, but Badcat recommends the optional Skyworks metal landing ge...

So much for a thread, with the intention of providing useful convention information. We went. OurWar figs were on display, same basic display they showed @ Weekend of Hero's in June. They had "FINAL" OurWar sets for sale for $50, I picked up one set (7 figs) and will hopefully review them soon. The...

All valid points :) I dont *THINK* they are going to do a spot-free Jolly Rogers, at least I didn't hear anything about it but I suppose there is always a possibility. No news on a Wolfpack release either. The only other F-14 I saw was the IRIAF custom painted one, and I still believe there are no p...

Two questions: 1. Since the new F-14 has a FLIR pod, are smart bombs also included? 2. Why doesn't JSI include pilots? 1. Hmmmm! 2. No idea, I wish they did. No plans for pilots this year though. Keep the torch burning though! And everyone else.. wow SO much complaining! Sheesh. There are literally...

Here's some preliminary pics, I'm working on the rest of them now.
The plane looks really really nice, like the first one should have looked!
The lights are a nice touch, as I had never seen the other lighted version.
